Does anyone else totally hate them? Not sure I really want a day long reminder that I’m getting older and so is everyone else. I feel like it gets worse every year.

What I hate more is the people who insist on celebrating it, buying presents, making a big deal of it, and who then get all upset when you remind them (for at least the 20th time that year) that you REALLy don't want anything to do with it.

57 on the 14th .. thing is it's my daughters birthday as well .. i hate em she loves em .. so bbq drink and bed early :)

I always have the day off work and just have a “do what the **** I want” day.
So yeah, they’re cool.

Not really into the whole presents thing though.

Yep, first day I book when I go back to work after Christmas. My age doesn't bother me in the least.

Having a birthday in Jan is pants. Lousy weather, no theme parks and most other attractions aren’t open. People are skint or forgotten about birthdays. A former colleague said his birthday on NYD is the worst. As people say Happy New Year to him and never Happy Birthday.

I could be the King and have two birthdays. Having one in the summer.

My birthdays have been quite dull the last few years,

I remember when people actually got together on your birthday

Sign of getting older i guess and everyone having multiple kids (not me) so you barely see friends
