Ive purchased 3 of there fans (pro edition)

1 x230mm
2x 200mm

However because of the weird shape they are they do not fit well in my case

600T the top section even though its a 25mm thick fan required does not fit correctly (previous fan was 25mm) its because of the extra edge of the circle.

this is a problem on the front of the Case the 200mm fan on the front of the cosair stops the Case closing at the bottom correctly as sticks out slighty to far.

I know bitfenix post on this forum so thought it be nice to get their verdict on the problem.

if the fan was like a normal fan with 4 holes and not such a wide edge for holes it would be fine:(

shows you how close it is with normal fans

Hey smogsy,

Although you say "normal fan", it truly is not. In the world of fans, there are no industry standards in mounting holes above 140mm. We provided mounts so any propitiatory case could potentially mount them.

Certain cases only provide enough space to fit fans from their own line of fans. This would be true here.

As far as I've seen, 200mm SP do fit in the front of the 600t, internally.

On aanother note your fans are great. hooked it up to fan controller Quiet & loads of air even on the lowest power setting :)

gfx sli temp dropped from 85 to 40c

they do fit yes, how i mean by normal is the edge does not overhang so much on other fans which Yes it is great for variety of cases i agree with you but on some it causes problems.

its a shame you could not do hot swappable edges but this would be costly...
however the side of the case hits the edge of the fan before it can click in.. so the case from the front looks like below

my old fans (which was a coolermaster 200mm & the standard cosair fit fine.) i can try to fiddle tonight see if i can use different holes to fit correctly below is coolmaster 20mm that fits perfectly. :)

thank you for posting,

On a total side note, as i have a wasted 200MM SP that is 25cm that does not fit in the top position of case, could you not send me 2 120mm SP fans free of charge to put in the top position?

(you dont get if you dont ask right?)

And there was me about to order a 200mm Spectre Pro for the front of my 600T SE. :(

Is it not possible to retro fit it somehow? If not what would be a suitable replacement for the standard Corsair offering?

Hi xbournex
I have a 600t, and I would like to replace the 2 big fans in the case (200mm). Can you confirm which ones I can replace them with.
I did read on the forum you might need to mod the Spectre PRO LED in as they are 25mm?

thanks

I can confirm they fit, as they have the holes.
Whether they block the hard drive cages is a different story. Probably Corsair 600t owner's clubs can help you.

great thx, heard they are very good fans so will replace top stock corsair one for of these 1 X PRO LED 200mmX25mm.
I will keep the stock fan by the hard drive cage for now.

also the 200mm SP says on OCUK its 25mm but when you compared it to the Cosair 25mm Its a lot thinner. which i do not understand.]

EDIT Cosair are 20mm! other sites were incorrect

i personally do not use hdd cages as i believe they make the case air flow inferior

no problem,

i mightlook into getting a Bitfenix 20mm to see if fits at the top but thats more ££ for little gain :(

these fans do NOT fit in the 600t with the drive cages installed. You can remove a drive cage and move the other over to the second mount if you want to install one.

You cannot get it into the roof. The standard fans on the 600t are not 25mm thick like the spectre pro, they are 20mm. that's why it doesn't fit.

If you mount it in the front you may need to file off a tiny bit of the mouting bits as they can clash with the little plastic nubs of the front panel.

Edit, If you want a 200mm in the roof or want to use the standard drive bay config, the standard bitfenix spectre does fit. :)

There you go. Taken from an end user. Unfortunately, I can not guarantee any fit in any other case than BitFenix as I don't have the other cases to test with.

brilliant - appreciate the info.. Looks like I'll go for one Pro and one standard spectre for the roof.

The best config if you like bitfenix fans and have a 600t (and no need for drive cages i.e SSD or moved one over) is a 200mm x 1 spectre pro black (do you do all-white yet?) in the front, 120mm x 3 black/all white in the top and the back. IMO.

Choose the colour according to the colour 600t you have ;D. The all black (it's black with gunmetal accents) goes very well with the case. Best looking 200mm fan on sale imo. Best performing too (out of the ones I tried). I have 1 in the front and 4 on my radiator. They can undervolt to silly low levels to the point where they're barely pushing any air, yet they still spin and don't buzz or w/e (using a scythe fan controller). Your mileage may vary if you're using an nzxt controller ;).

25mm thick 120mm fans will fit inside the 600t on the roof and leave about 4mm until the top of the motherboard pcb.

Thanks OPtimaLnrg & smogsy.. I have the graphite 600t. I bet the 2 120mm fans on top shift some air - more so than a single 200mm.

yes the standard spectre fan you could fit there doesn't shift much air, it's meant for quiteness. The other benefit is that you can get the 120mm versions of your 200mm so the fans all match.

tbh it's a shame that the 600t (without the mesh) is geared towards an old school negative air pressure setup.. :/

My 200mm Spectre Pro arrived this morning and two minutes later I'd fitted it in the front of my 600T SE with no fuss at all. No filing involved, no "bodging", nothing. Even the hard drive cage fitted back with not much fuss.

I'm baffled as to why people say they don't fit?!?
