Does anyone have this fan controller that can help?

The software that comes with it is diabolical.

Everytime i start my computer up it puts all the fans at 100% and slowly lowers them to my preset speeds once windows boots.

However every few minutes it ramps a couple of the fans up to 100% for no reason at all then lets them drop back down again.

I didnt want to bother with the probes as it seemed like a lot of hassle but will the fan controller only work properly if i use them?

EDIT

Think im starting to get the hang of it now, at least using their APP ive managed to set three different profiles.

The probes from what i saw are fairly important.

I have 3 fans but only using 2 probes and i cannot control the speed of fan 3. The default built into the recon is that if it cannot sense a temp then set fan on the corresponding channel to 100%

forget their app its crap go here sign up for the beta app and use that then uninstall the other recon stuff

Use the probes setup the software based system and let it do its thing all my fans including cpu spend most the time turned off not with a brief blip on the cpu fan when the heatsink hits 30 degrees

That's normal for micro-processor controlled fan controllers. It's a sort of POST for the controller and the fans. My Sentry LXE does it.

Thanks guys, ive setup some profiles and i think ive got the fan controller under my full control now using the Bitfenix app. Happy so far.

A question for Corsair 600T users, does the bitfenix recon controller stick out on the front of your case?

Mine sticks out like a few extra mm than i think it should. However the other holes in the controller+screws to attach to the 5.25 bay just make it stick out even further.

EDIT

I had to snap off the 600t 5.25 drive bay adapter thing, now the holes line up and it doesnt stick out.

I was going to get this fan controller, but read a lot of people having issues with them so I decided not buy it. I'm using my Aerocool Strike X panel instead. The only thing I hate about the aerocool strike is it doesn't have profiles, other then that it's a great fan controller.
