Here is my problem: -
I have a PC which has been working fine with the Hauppage WinTV-HVR1300. Signal strength from my rooftop aerial is 100% and solid. Perfect reception. However since the pc is low spec it struggles to record. Plus I wanted to swap the card to my higher spec day-to-day PC. When I did this the signal was zero strength and the card failed to scan any digital channels - even with same drivers and aerial. It did however manage to grab the analogue channels perfectly. Thinkin I may have blown the card I swapped it back. Again 100% quality. Damned odd me thinks. Especially since its same aerial, same card, same drivers and the two PC's are in similar locations in my house and being fed by same downlead. (no splitters etc.)
So I buy a cheap Pinnacle DVB-T PCI. Would you beleive it!!! The same thing exactly! So now I'm beginning to think that the PC that is failing to work with both cards has too much RF interferance internally possibly? Or could it be something else. I am at a total loss. I would really like to cure this.
Anybody had any similar probs? This is doin my bloody swede in and I'd rather not build another PC.
