How? Its AM2 not 939. You'd still need new RAM and board.

I think the present AM2 boards are meant to support the new quad AMD processors, if your willing to do a BIOS update.

I personally don't think it's a worthwhile upgrade. I'd either wait or get a C2D since I think you're unlikely to notice much difference.

Depends on price range.
For me it would go as:
8800GTX
2900xt or 8800gts 640mb either one as thier pretty par.
2900pro

Dont go for the 8800gts 320mb as it will be crushed with titles like crysis due to its memory amount.
