** BLACK FRIDAY / CYBER MONDAY STARTS AROUND 9AM THURSDAY!! **

Disappointing for me so far...

I was expecting you to at least match a certain other retailer site for the samsung 1TB 850 evo, it's quite a decent bit cheaper on there and has been for a while.... yes you offer a free game with it but the game is only going for £14 on here now :(

i7 DC is ok but seen cheaper in the past too :p

On 850 EVO we cannot touch the place your referring to which is no doubt Rainforest, we simply cannot compete with tax dodgers.

Samsung only give the game to resellers who actually buy legitimate stock and pay their taxes. ;)


Intel CPU's are USD product, unfortunately exchange rate is doing us zero favours, now down to 1.50, making our GBP cost higher, considering two weeks ago the rate was 1.56 so of course they have being cheaper in the past. Exchange rate is even out of Intel's control. :(

And yup it is the rainforest! I did wonder why they were a decent bit cheaper than everywhere else...

Yes themselves, places like Tesco they get offshore warehouses and on small items they can typically avoid taxes.

Yes Samsung are pi$$ed, yes the government are pi$$ed.

Hopefully the government will soon put a stop to it as a 20% advantage makes it impossible to compete on a product where the margin is typically under 10%

Saw you dropped the price, cheers for that, I bought some....with postage costs though i'm actually no better off :/ I thought we got free postage? :confused: I've sent a webnote via the CS board to check.
 
Has anyone else started looking at the website for which brand of 390 is going on sale? The MSI is out of stock, the asus is on this week only, Sapphire is on Highlight, HIS only has 2 in stock, that leaves XFX and Powercolor that both have 10+ stock and no current specials.... PLEASE be Powercolor
