I think the Acer X34P is a better buy anyhow...who wants 1080P on an Ultrawide!?

And if they do...why?*

If your graphics isn't up to running 1440P then just create a custom 2560x1080 profile and you can run 1440 when you have the graphical grunt further on down the line.

*Unless of course £500 is your absolute budgetary limit.
In which case I'd say it was well worth while saving up for the 1440P UW.

Wasn't a purchase for I but as I say, with it going up over night by 100 quid the Mrs will have to stick with her current Screen.

Good news, thanks!

Have you received yours yet? Absolutely loving mine so far, really blown away by the gaming performance and also how much the colours stand out as a whole - I wish I didn't leave it this long to get one.

Let me know as well what settings you're happy with using, even though all monitors are different in terms of calibration - mine out of the box felt a bit on the yellow side as far as whites go (most likely too used to TN after ages) but I feel for mine leaving everything on auto apart from having it set to the warm profile, 80% brightness & 50% contrast configuration. This evened out everything and especially the whites.

Liam.

Well, it actually arrived today, a day ahead of the schedule. I wrote a quick summary in my topic: https://forums.overclockers.co.uk/threads/upgrade-for-dell-u2410.18837179/

As for the settings - I didn't have too much time to play with it. Coming from 8 years old LCD IPS it's so bright so I keep mine at 60% brightness and 50% contrast and 2.2 gamma. MAke sure to switch off "Super Sharpness" as it fcks up picture quality badly.
