It's the BM team. They wanted us to have the full experience and keep the nostalgia of the day's of HL1 download speeds
I'm about 5 mins off having it downloaded then that's my Friday night sorted

0.5kb/s I give up! I move to uni tomorrow morning and will have rubbish Internet. Will have to play this when I come back at Christmas.
Deadly serious, if you don't get a download of this before you go, I shall download it to a usb stick and post it to you homz
It's crawling for me at the minute as I have no way of torrenting on this PC. Depressed.

Meh, this is pathetic, was getting decent enough speeds for shacknews, around 100-200kB/s, and then seen that people were getting the downloads failing (and saying it is much faster), so started with a few torrent sites instead and the speed is pretty much non existent
This better get uploaded to one of my private torrent sites soon!
