Black Mirror: Season 6

Watched the first two......the first seemed more BM to me (which I always thought revolved around how future technology would inevitably be bad in some way)
Ep 2 just seemed like a 'who done it' crime thriller.

Apart from episode 1 none of them felt very black mirror.

All good stories in their own right, but I feel it's all about big stars and special effects since it went to Netflix. 2 of the episodes were too long this season as well.

Only watched 1 and 2 so far. As Netflix stuff goes.. At least I still want to watch it.

I actually liked episode 1 better than 2.

Episode 1 I didn't guess the ending.
Episode 2 I found totally predictable. Didn't seem like black mirror to me.

Watched two more.

Mazy Day was trash.

Beyond the Sea is the best episode so far. and at least felt like a Black Mirror episode. Predictable ending though, would be interesting if there was more background on what happened to the world in this story or what they were doing, but I guess it doesn't really matter.

This season overall has been quite poor imo. It didn't really feel like the Black Mirror eps of old, and felt just like general sci-fi, horror, thriller episodes. The last 2 eps could have been "Goosebumps' episodes for all I knew.

So far only watched the first 2 episodes. I was literally falling asleep towards the end of "Loch Henry" as I found it completely dull. Conversely really enjoyed "Joan Is Awful" - while it didn't have the same gritty "British" vibe as the early seasons - it did follow their theme of taking the dark side of technology to extremes, and I thought the twist at the end was quite well done.

Hoping the later episodes improve a bit, but unfortunately it seems to have very much gone downhill the last 2 seasons - a couple of decent episodes, but still not a patch on the earlier ones.

Maybe it's sometimes better to not think too much, as some of the stuff doesn't make sense but the narrative was developed to fit the ending
Why didn't they send the robots to space and how them controlled from Earth? Was there no spare or backup robot that he could have used instead of borrowing someone else's link?

I believe the latter bit was answered in the episode. As to the former I would assume because the mission was more important to their employers and maybe the robots were not as reliable/might need maintenance/parts etc

Not sure I agree with the predictable ending claims either considering it could have gone multiple ways and they faked out the 'kill him and take his place' ending right before the end.

Yep, I can see why they did that way.

You would have thought it would be easier to stack the ship/station with neutral robot avatars, anyone apparently could operate them, the avatars were linked to one station and for "reasons" no new links could be added once they separated, so adding a few for redundancy could have been a good idea.

Also, you would have thought a robot avatar would have a lot more strength then us, being overpowered by flesh and blood humans didn't really work for me.

I really enjoyed the last two episodes. Mazey Day did NOT go how I expected it and the twist was awesome.
That might be one of the best werewolf sequences I've seen. The part with the animal running through the woods really highlighted speed and power. Terrifying.

I loved the humour in Demon 79. The idea that he took that form cracked me up.
I genuinely thought right up until the last minute that they'd throw in an ambiguous ending too.
