I have never been so excited about a build before, this will be my 3rd watercooling build and it's going to be the best by far.

Why change?
  • The 480 won't do too well at 2560x1440 :p
  • I want to be able to bring my rig to friends houses for LANs.
  • I love the project that watercooling provides, it's a chance to be creative in a way few people ever will :D

Hardware
  • CPU - Intel i5 2500k (We'll see how good the mini ITX board is as currently I can get 5Ghz out of this chip)
  • Mobo - ASRock Z77E-ITX
  • Ram - Crucial Ballistix Tracer 2x4Gb 1866 Mhz CL9 Blue and Orange LEDs.
  • GFX - HIS AMD 7950 (Pray to the lords of overclocking it's a good one :p)
  • SSD - Intel 330 180GB (Windows and games)
  • HDD - 1TB Spinpoint F4 (Storage)
  • Case - Bitfenix Prodigy Midnight Black :D

  • EK Supreme HF Full Nickel
  • EK Supreme Nickel Full Cover 7950
  • EK Coolstream 240
  • Phobya Xtreme 200
  • Laing 18w DDC
  • XSPC Acrylic Tank Res

Anyways all this is ordered so it's time to get planning :D This build will be happening late this year/early next.

Yea, not much yet, just me trying to visualise a layout :D

3rd dispatch notification so it's a race. Lets see who's courier is fastest!
£25 spent on postage in total :/ ah well ^^

When they arrive I'll get some pictures up :)
 
Been having a think about the layout, tricky without the case in hand but I think this will work...

Just need to find space for the HDD ;p oh and pray my fan controller fits with the 240 in the top else I'll need to find another one.

That's the bulk of it! It goes away until Christmas now! :p

When the dremel arrives I'll start practising on an old case ^^

Small change in plans, picked up a 1440p monitor at a price I couldn't resist :D so no eyefinity, I'll be running 2x27" screens.

1 is 1080p with a nice fast response time for fast FPS games
1 will be a 1440p for other games and some FPS if there's not much in the way of ghosting :)

As for the rest of the project, still waiting on the dremel before I can start cutting the test panels :)

In sad news I don't think there's gonna be room for Pip-Boy in the new case, he's been a part of my cases and builds since my Antec 1200 :(

He'll be replaced by some more lego figures ^^
 
Tired of having to borrow a camera or dealing with crappy phone pics I bought a bridge camera :)

For those who know nothing about cameras (like me :D) a bridge camera bridges the gap between a compact and an SLR. The camera I got was FUJIFILM S4240 so if you like the pics it could be a good investment for you considering it can be had relatively cheap :)
