Black 'n' Blue MK2 - Watercooled Bitfenix Prodigy

Issues!!!!

1) The bitfenix spectre pro 230mm - the holes for the screws don't come pre bored so your have to carefully bore them with a screw before fitting them :/ the screws they do come with are rubbish and can't handle the force required to bore the holes.... they come with anti vibration rubber rivet things which also don't work with the fan!

2) The front is going to be a major squeeze to get the 200 rad in place because of the position of the power buttons pcb I'm not sure it'll fit, won't know until I can get the rad installed properly it'll be very tight! If it doesn't I'll remove the PCB and mod a power switch elsewhere.

3) This could be a major one >.< the graphics card I've been sent from OcUK isn't the same as in the picture, it's got a different colour PCB which may be an issue if it's non reference design.... I'll check the product code on the box and see if my waterblock will fit.

Ordered a modular power supply as there's no chance of doing any cable management with the current OCZ1000w monster in it....

I'll get more pics up soon, it's running on air atm with stock cooler so not much to see but it lets me install windows and get things setup whilst I wait for parts to arrive :)

Friday is the day I'll be doing some cutting :D

Also thinking about ditching the top 240mm rad, it'd let me keep something in the optical bay...lots to consider :)

Some more shots :) awaiting on a shroud and a PSU so this will have to keep you going :)

Seems to be running smoothly :) at stock it hammers the games I play :D

To do list:
  1. Cut windows (Tomorrow)
  2. Swap PSU (when it arrives)
  3. Fit the new fans in the shroud (when it arrives)
  4. Route the fan wires
  5. Mod the temp sensors on the fans to run at full speed
  6. Saw down the HDD Bay and fit the HDD and fan controller
  7. Get a loop layout sorted
  8. Fit the rads
  9. Fit the waterblock to the card
  10. Fit the loop
  11. Overclock :D
  12. Position lego figures appropriately
  13. Take lots of pictures
  14. Game :D

After side panel :D not perfect but it was my first time using a dremel :):)

Power supply arrived :) it's huge and doesn't quite fit in the back but it's held in place by the screws so it's fine. The cables are much neater now :)

I got the HDD and fan controller in place and put the shiny enermax apolish fans in place :D everything fits inside now so that's good ^^

Just got the psu in and a decent layout for the cables, modded the temp sensors of the fans, dremeled down the HDD bay and got the fan controller and HDD in there.

A few more tweaks to the wires will be needed and I'll be sleeving some extensions for them in black and blue ^^

I've ordered some screws for the rads as the ones I have don't fit....they came with the rad though -_-

Also ordered a shoggy sandwich as I think I'm going to mount the pump and res on top of the HDD cage and I want to reduce vibration as much as I can.

Before the new PSU:

It's a nice mess of wires and carnage, I'm also trying out that shroud, it's for 2x140mm fans so the fit isn't perfect but it still looks good irl :)

Then the new arrival :D

PLENTY left to do but it was a very productive day, time for some sleep :)

Got the other window cut :) awaiting a few bits and bobs before I start with the watercooling.

The scythe fan controller is a very nice piece of kit :) so simple yet effective.

I'll try get some pics up tomorrow :)
