***Black Ops 2***

Just played a few rounds on a colleagues account.

graphics are quite nice. almost as vibrant as borderlands, has a sort of bold feeling that is hard to describe.
you can tell there has been some improvements to the graphics.
but the series is still desperate for a new engine.

matchmaking makes baby jesus cry

movement is similar to an IW game and it doesnt feel like a treyarch game.

only played with base weapon loadouts but guns felt good. pace of the game was pleasing too.

must say, it is better than MOH Warfighter imo.

not sure if i will spend the money just yet.

Its amazing how many people are willing to pay for the same game over and over again. Activision seem to have stumbled on a magic formula for printing money.

People are saying it was a mess up at the manufacturing place for the disks

edit: that's just rumour, not confirmed.

If it is true, then i guess quality control didn't occur during that process.

Edit: Just read a way around it, you can go to Steam, click add game, then enter the serial key and Steam downloads the game for you.

It seems to me as though everyone that hates it tend to be the ones who buy all the CoD sereis. And you wonder why it gets samey?
Take a break, skip every one or two games lol. I skipped from 2 to Black Ops and LOVE black ops. Then skipped MW3 to Black ops 2, again loving it!

Only CoD I've bought myself were Modern Warfare 1 + 2. Black Ops and World at War were bought for me, I'd of been severely ****ed off if I had payed for those Treyarch fails. IW ftw.

Then again I hate CoD now so moot point, really.

I have been a fan of COD althought I have not played a lot of MW3 due to time constraints. This is the only COD game I have not got on release and I doubt I will.

Is it worth holding out a week or so to see what people think? This COULD be the first COD game that I actually do not get..... Hmm

i am going to wait for a few weeks but i will get it , atleast 70% of my steam friends are playing and most saying its good

For the people that carnt find nuketown i think you click the dlc content i could be wrong tho

Got my retail copy with nuke town pre-order & installed & activated it earlier. 14.6GB install takes about 45 mins game comes on 2 DVD's but also needs to download another 2GB from Steam as it seems the game DVD's do not contain all the files & it also runs a security check on the install media.

1st impressions are pretty positive but it takes about 10-15 mins to actually play the game  then you can clearly see apart from the mainly terrible textures that DX11 is being used here as the lighting & shader FX look pretty modern.

Gameplay wise it feels like a cross between MW2 & 3 but the early levels are pretty poor TBH it gets much better after a few hours. Its more of the same but the game is obviously a mega budget effort so you are getting your moneys worth from SP alone but throw in the other game modes (each has its own exe now) & its clear there is good value for money if funds are tight & you just want an undemanding but enjoyable romp this is that game & its obviously going to be the highest selling game of 2012 so the MP will be active for a long time to come!

I would give it a generous 7.5/10 (COD 4 I would rate 10/10 MW2 I would rate 9.5/10).
