Black Ops playing in SD?

If you can, take a picture of the screen with a camera, both extremely close up and normally. Might not be able to count the pixels, but even a quick glance at the game and its hud/menus will tell us.

Re the menus and HuD elements, I can't check now as the game is my housemates and he's taken it elsewhere tonight. The TV says the signal is full 1080p coming from the HDMI. Maybe I'm expecting too much, but I could swear MW2 looked much sharper. I don't really know what else to do though we've tried various combinations in the display settings menu, it's currently set to automatic. I'll check out how crisp the HuD elements are tomorrow.

MW2 did look a lot better.

I thought we were going down the 3D route? That would probably see no increase from 1280x720 in the next consoles in order to get satisfactory 3D performance.

I've no idea. I pulled the figure out of my bum.

I have the PS3 and 360 versions and without starting a war if possible the 360 version looks and plays considerably better than the PS3....

The actual text/HuD elements are sharp but besides that it's really quite disappointing. To be fair we are playing it on a 50 inch plasma and sitting about 2.5 metres away but MW2 definitely looked much sharper. The campaign is a joke at some points.

The player models/skins in game are quite bad, I was watching third person in S&D last night and compared to MW2 they are pants.

But gameplay wise, I think it's brilliant fun.
