Blacklight Retribution

I actually enjoy this, even if it's like COD (I haven't played since COD4 so I wouldn't know) it's free to play, for that 30 mins of gameplay after work and before dinner it's a good one. I like the idea of renting equipment as I rent it with in game currency have a blast and forget about it afterwards, might even be tempted to get the £7 starter pack just to see what it's like.
 
im enjoying this at the mo to be honest but only started playing today you seem to earn enough points to hire stuff without trouble.

Had a quick run on this yesterday evening. Actually fairly respectable. Renting a few bits is nice, as is the very customisable gear. Shame perma-owning stuff takes decades of play for even basic bits (I think something like a single crappy scope that would cost say... £30 to own the real thing takes about.... 11hours? of play to earn) and it's definitely pay to win.
 
My opinion of this game is that it is definetely a free game and not something you would pay money for.

As a free game its servicable but its not going to knock tribes ascend off its perch.
 
May as well be called blackops retribution.

It's not bad considering it's free, but I wouldnt want to spend any real money on it and the unlocks seem to take a serious amount of time to unlock.
 
Anyone still play this? Downloaded it yesterday and having fun, graphics are pretty good tbh.

Kinda wish there was some kind of compromise between F2P and some kind of retail model as I would pay a set price for this just to level everything up like cod.
 
I played it for about 2 weeks on and off, after I'd downloaded it. The time it took to unlock something seemed way too long, and I have no interested in paying for anything. I got a bit bored and stopped playing, but then I'm not a huge FPS fan.
