Blackwell gpus

I doubt the 5090 will be able to either and the 5080 certainly won’t.

We are still a few years away from PT becoming doable without FG.
My bet is that 5090 will do PT on DLSS Quality, 4k@60fps in CB77 without FG or be pretty close to it.

But even without FG, 4080 can do 60fps + on Ultra Performance at 4k. I only have a 1080p display (not sure how that affects IQ as I'd expect performance is somewhat lower than native 4k), but downsampling from 4k DLSS Ultra Performance seems a bit better than 1080p Quality (at least in PT) and it looks VERY good. With FG is 100fps + or close. I'd rather play (and do play) like that than 1080p quality...

I guess it becomes problematic going lower where stuff that used to be midend (x60 series) is more in trouble than it should be since the downgrade in what the x60 series actually is - IE x60 being the x50 series sold at a higher price...

That would require about a 50% uplift over the so might be doable.

Yeah the 60 series is a bust now and will end up holding back RT adoption as that’s the price range where most people usually shop.

£2k?, no mate, we talking £2500 onwards to £3k if your getting 5090ti Matrix or Lightning Z, many people are are ready with their wallets, hell most people will probably wack it on the credit cards....
AMD has a chance to embarrass Nvidia at the mid level with price/performance but who knows if that will actually happen.. They'll certainly have the upper hand in VRAM but as for the rest ( with RDNA4 ) who knows.

GPU market needs a good shakeup..

AMD will wait for Nvidia to launch then slot in a bit cheaper for similar performance like they always do.

If AMD wants to make a statement then they’d have to launch early with a $500 card that matches the 7900XTX a $400 card that matches the 7900XT and a $300 card that matches the 7900GRE

I was on about the 5090 FE. Cant see those costing more than 2K.

Glad to see you have your wallet ready though

Replace 'wallet' with 'ass' :p

So when I fork out the £10,000 or whatever ridiculous price nVidia decide to pull out their arse for the 5090; they're gonna kick us in the nuts and release 2 even faster models? :(

Just because they're registered doesn't necessarily mean they'll launch them. They never launched a 4090 Ti/Super.

Is it still right the 5070 will launch with 12gb of ram ?
If so how does 12gb of ddr7 match up to 16gb of ddr 6?

I'm considering pulling the trigger on a 4070 ti super in the black Friday sale, but with the 50 series around the corner I'm truly stumped with the decision.
