Was mission accomplished by Jensen though after the 4080 12gb jebaited AMD into launching the 7900XT at $900 then it returned a couple of months later as a 4070ti for $800 and actually offered better price to performance than its competition and was recommended over the 7900XT in reviews. They unannounced the 4080 at launch because it got roasted for having 12GB and priced as if it was a vintage Rolex.

The 4070ti was better in price to performance to a 7900XT though even in raster and that’s ignoring Nvidia’s RT and stronger feature set.lol what revisionist history is this? Both the 7900 XT and the 4070Ti were rubbished for their release pricing by the people who mattered AND by some of the more popular tech sites.
GN didn’t like it
Neither did HUB
The 4070Ti was barely over 15% faster than the 3080 at 4K for an extra $100 - $150. It was a regression on price/performance, just like the 7900 XT.
Let’s not pretend the 4070Ti price/performance was anything other than crap on release. It was barely better than the 7900 XT and that was a low bar.
The only person Jenson “jebated” was you it seems.
