It seems that unless you have a guild to rely on its nigh on impossible to gear up a toon now in naxx, while it was new people were less demanding in who they took. I spent 4 hours last trying to get in on a run, to no avail.

The laughable thing is that 90% of pugs for heroics want people in full naxx 25man gear now! for "speed runs" so even getting heroic gear can be an uphill struggle.

The thing i do find funny is that to complain about this usually results in L2P insults and so on... how is my skill level even coming into question? if no one will allow me to try then how the hell do i impress them. Its a soul destroying cycle in a evening, and when i try to start my own PUG im laughed at with "lol you dont have achievement... trying to get carried eh!?" and so on.

My server is the same and i guess most others are the same . Luckily im well geared (mostly nax 25 with 1-2 heroic bits) but even i sometimes find it hard to get a pug as people are asking for 5k dps and full tier 7.5 for 10 mans etc .

Somtimes my guild can be lazy so i have tp pug and unless i can get on after work its very hard to get a group (as dps) and have to don tanking gear before i can get one (80 dk)

Also the achivment requirments are really silly . I have nax 25 but not 10 and was refused a spot in a pug 10 man lol and EOE is really hard to pug .

All i can suggest is try and get in a casual raiding guild or even pay for a guild spot to get the achv so you can get pugs easily... But if yer under 2k dps expect to be shown the door . Maybe invest in some crafted epics and buy the 60 valor braces (between 800-1200g on my shard) OS with no drakes and the vault is easy to pug and a few dfecent drops there ..

eve-online has never had a paid for expansion and the game has been added to massively since it launched in 2003.

from the start the devs always said the expansions would be paid for in the cost of the subscription which is the standard price most mmos charge

Im actually tank specced/geared with 9/10 epics and def capped etc. Ive no problem tanking heroics and have 27k unbuffed HP. My gear is easily enough to do naxx with.... its just the opportunity to do it that eludes me :p
 
To see how much this game must cost Blizz to run have a look in the back of the WotLK instruction booklet. The number of people employed shocked me. To pay all of them plus the other projects they have to fund must cost a fortune, let alone the data centre costs. I always imagined it was a few guys in a small room :p
 
Uldar will be like TK/SC. You will need to be geared to get the bosses down, Most have enrage timers so the raids DPS needs to be up for it.

I can't wait to start raiding this atm, So bored of current content. Got my 310% proto at the weekend and thats all i wanted from naxx.

Bring on uldar and hopefully something challenging.

Ohh and the last 2 bosses in Uldar have never been tested or shown yet. Hopefully they are like Kael and Vash pre nerfs and will take a lot to down. Meathod have cleared all bosses on the PTR along with 4/5 other guilds so it'll be a good rush to clear first.

Unless the last 2 bosses are extremely hard i'd give it 2 resets for farm status's appearing

They have one of the largest datacentres in europe running EU servers.

I read somewhere it costs $1billion a year to keep the datacentre up.

Back in 2006:

Its going live today. Servers down for maintenance atm, expected to be up at 15:00 CET (14:00 for us). I won't be surprised when that's extended.
 
Been a long time since I played wow, but that trailer was pretty sweet .

Its graphics are getting dated now in my eyes but the use of colour is great as ever.

The one thing im not looking forward to is having to try update my addons again :(

patch day truely is a love hate relationship..... love it cuz of new content and things to do. Hate it cuz it buggers up all my addons (normally)

They have been Full expansions.
