Blocked access - what can I do?

Just phone up your local police station and say somones car is obstructing access to your property. I had a friend who found a neighbours car parked in front of his drive, his mum phoned the police and they towed it the next morning.

Your friends mum sounds like a right Mrs Busybody. Does she also tell other peoples kids off out of turn?

Ah. I thought it sounded too good to be true.
Oh well.

She couldn't get to work because someones car was in the way, out of curiosity, what would you do "ohh it's none of my buisness where someone parks their car, i'll just stay off work till its gone"?

Enough to live with it for a day without calling the police behind twitching net curtains.

So you'd take a day off work, possibly longer, and the chance that it might happen again, compared with a phone call and very little chance of it repeating? All because someone didn't have common sense/decency to you when they parked? It hardly behind twitching net curtains either

So? set fire to his car, two birds with one stone :D

when we visit my missus' dad's house there is no off road parking just parking on the street , one of the houses has stuck a "no parking" sign on their front wall , usually most of the street is empty but there are no prizes for guessing where I always park :D

i know some guy who used to park on a public football field to stop them playing, he had to have his car towed away as teens, and children smashed his car wing mirrors off, and basically put every window they could find, through. and also any other damage they could inflict on it.

i own a landrover. landrover vs. side-of-car = landrover wins. no one parks in front of my driveway!

*editor's note - this probably is not legal*

Measure the distance between the bottom of the suspension and the ground. Add about 1/2 an inch to that measurement and cut four 2X4's to that second length. Use a trolley jack to lift each corner in turn and place the 2X4's on end under the suspension so that the tyres no longer touch the ground.

Then sit back and watch the fun as they try and move thier (now immobile) car!!

find out what time the guy gets back to his car in the afternoon/evening and write your note on the guys bonet in whipped cream about half an hour before he shows up!

Mmmm! Sadly, I can't tell the difference between a handbrake cable and.......well, another cable!

It would be so tempting to just block him in...;)

You can guarantee that you'll be unlucky enough to get towed yourself though!

at my old uni, the traffic guys would superglue a peice of paper saying "parking without a permit... blah etc" on to peoples windscreens. When they tried to take the paper off they were left with a big papery X left on the screen (much like peeling a lable off a bottle).

I dont know how legal this is, but after the owner took 30mins to scrape off the left over glue they soon got the message.
