Blocking an IP address from Hong Kong?

Hi there people...i have a small problem which i tried to google, but google just came up with jargon...my problem is that i keep getting port scanned from somebody in china,about 10 portscans a day,all the portscans are blocked as im using bitdefender firewall which is pretty good...however this person keeps trying and i want to block the IP permanently...does anybody on here have any ideas in how to do this or know of any software how to do it?

I really don't think your ISP would do much, depends who it is.

Just go into your router settings and find out if you can block that IP in the firewall.

Block the IP in your firewall, if you get it again on a close IP, block the smallest subnet the IPs could fit in, and so on..

well i have the very best of security,bitdefender,trojan hunter,malwarebytes, trojan remover and hijack this...nothing is showing up on any of these

Port scans happen to every body, I would just log what ports are being scanned (if not all).
If they are all being scanned make sure you know what all the ports are open are doing and
that you have the latest updates for them. All the "very best" security does not really make
a differnts to a specifc vulnerbility on an open port.

Just lock down all your ports that you dont need open.
