Blooded Panda

Think you can do that as standard on the Hue+? Good overview of all lighting options by hardwarecanucks:

Coming together very nicely mate, will look very cool with the Hue+ lighting in there :D

Speaking of the devil, I just watched that video a few mins before hand.
In torn between have white back around with red chasing around or running GPU temp wise with white fading into a blood red at max temp.
Shame extra strips aren't out till end of next month

Great minds think alike ;) yeah there is almost too many options to chose from. Being able to have different colours on different channels could offer some amazing effects!

Looking forward to seeing it mate! Picked your cable colours yet?

I just ordered a white 24pin and 8 pin GPU with red combs and red 8 CPU pin and GPU with white combs. Not sure if potential buyer's scheme would be so went quick and basic. Can also self braid the cables later.

Ordered a Swiftech H240X to cool the GPUs for £130 so should save a small bit of cash. White tubing to a plexi alphacool sli bridge, red fluid and black fittings

I was told they were a few weeks away so I went elsewhere. Now I'm regretting that as I'll have to live with sub standard customer service and RMA with the return

Normally I use oc , scan, water cooling UK etc for my personal builds but have been using compare sites, merchant sites to get price as low as I can, 3 weeks delivery , email customer service with a standard 24 waiting time etc :(

you sir are building a monster , a very pretty one at that.
you will not be disappointed with the M.2 :)

Thanks , I was actually going to do a triple turbo build on a krait x99 then saw this board. Was also going to raid 950 pros but saw every data port goes out the door.
Then saw the G1 version and tempted to swap boards and grab a third turbo. On theory you can run 2* m.2 and one m.2 or Intel based pcie ssd off the last pcei slot. Insane. If I can't sell this. I may do that

Heh, more power eh?

Seriously though, this is looking very nice. I've got the staple monochrome set up with the Krait X99 build, but the red is a nice addition to the overall palette.
I think that you're right with the choice of cable colours.

Cheers mate
Build was meant to follow black and white of previous build with power but evolved a bit :)

Just really hoping I can pull off the hybrid Asus Turbos. Worst case I'll just use the water block and backplate and ditch the all in one heat sink

Just eued up the Phanteks TC14S in the case..
Gonna be close !!

Will be spraying the black plastic parts on the inside of the front panel, should offset with the colour scheme quite nice

And hopefully when more nzxt LEDs come out, I'll line the undersized and the front air pocket with them, maybe set a red breathe effect

Thanks for the comments and hints about key swaps on boards :) very tempting

Managed to get mobo in and test fit TC14S. Couldn't fit fans in push like in previous pics. Fan sits on ram and it to high and can't fit the side panel, so now there in pull and just fits !
Also installed nzxt Hue+ , first fitting of the LEDs and have refitted them cleaner and not in full view when panel is on, but didn't take after pics .
Need to bench cards in my rig to find max air overclock and then move them over

Torn and need opinions .

Planned to do a mixture of white braided cables with red combs and red with white combs. 24pin and one pcie was white and 8pin and pcie was red.
Starting to sway more of doing all red then mixing ...

May custom braid my cables if I don't sell it but for now its extensions

Given the colour balance of the rest of the build, I quite like the red cables with the white combs.

snap shot of the white 24 pin with red combs.
Ive found that the red combs are a transparent red compared to the solid white combs which is what is putting me off.

just seen red cpu cable in background.

would have had turbos in last night along with mixed PCIe cables but son has started to teethe =/

Looking very good mate, coming together really well. +1 for red cables here. I think you have used red sparingly enough that you can throw them cables in without overdoing the red!

Can't wait to see the turbo's in :)

cheers dude

Just ordered 24 pin in red with white combs, out of stock everywhere for 8pin, so when i put the Turbos in i'll do both white and red and see what peoples views are.
might have black combs to so could go white/ Black comb on GPU and red/white on the mobo.

Hue is a bit of a pain in the s340, specially putting a strip at the bottom. really need an extra strip to i can to the top, side, bottom and backside up to the fan in one go rather then using cable spacers which are quite stiff. should have been braided then a plastic sleeve.
There is a strip on the backside of the cable plate on the edge, once i can get more, i'll continue this run on the top edge of the mobo.
Also have 4 Red LED lights to install in the GPU fan shroud so it should glow red.

should the PCIe brackets be painted Red or white....

I'm not normally a fan of white builds, but this is definitely changing my mind. Kudos!

cheers, it was meant to be a more powerful version of the previous build I did with the same Twin 970s as now but with x99 Krait and then i spotted the gigabyte boards. Again wise i went for the G1 version, not so much for RAID on 950s as that seems it isnt worth it but for the ability to have 3 way sli with 3 PCIe ssds or more or less of either. really wish the did the Gaming 7 with white Sata ports as well like the G1.

Really looking forward to getting the lighting done in the rig, what im not looking forward to it getting the hybrid cooling sorted

This build looks amazing! I dont even like red color but this one just looks different :D

Thanks :D

speaking of red, just got a can of red plastidip. Prop spray the feet red and then Black parts of the front panel red to make it stand out a bit, all the black parts in the main case will remain untouched

think i may have to think of a better name for the build and with "Dragon" in it. since i've saved a small fortune getting the Swiftech H240X and not needing a ton of black fittings, i can Splash out on 2 90 Bitspower Matt Black fittings (purely for the dragon logo).

Would painting the Mortal Combat Logo on the black heatsink be a stretch to far....???

Finally had a chance to move the turbos into their new home.
Mind had moves for red braids with white combs .
I moved the Hue+ from the right ssd housing to the left. Looking at it now with WC gear to go in, will move it back, doesnt block the fan as i thought it would do

Looks like an awesome build with those cables. Not a fan of red PC's, but I do like this.

How have you found the Hue? I keep playing with the settings making up random patterns!

Haven't played with the hue yet :(

Got colour scheme marked up in my head but really need a 5th strip or short versions :/

I agree with the short versions, I've got mine in a Parvum X1.0 (see build in my sig) and the strips are just a fraction too long to fit on one edge.

I've been in communication with NZXT and they're sorting me out with some extra strips for my faulty ones, can't fault that service! Going to take the current ones apart and see how they do it, might re-wire the faulty ones see if I can do something creative with them.

Nice build, love parvum cases. I thought after this one might send them a CAD for a Raven styled 90 degree case done better haha.

Looking how the ends of strips are capped or can be left open, I guess after every LED the circuit loops back on itself, allowing for parallel running /more strips to be added. In theory you should be able to hack just after a LED, to the side were the strip has its male connection ... In theory

Swapped the white for red, much better! Just last pcie to go .
Most likely route the top pcie cable between the GPUs and underneath the second so its not hanging down.

Under lock as cats are eating cables. PSU tomorrow
