Bloodhunt : Vampire The Masquerade BR

there's a definite warzone vibe to it, hell the armour placement animation is almost a straight copy!

getting Apex legends vibes from it too, movement, placement and use of abilities is vital, probably more so than the weapon being used.

i do like the big ass sniper rifle - that smacks the crap outta folks!

Have had some close seconds. Still after that W. As more people start playing it, the skill levels are being diluted. At the beginning I was getting smashed by Alpha players.

Awww I’m getting minced most the time lol. Still trying to get used to tpp. That and trying to remember to use my archs abilities is costing me dearly. Not to mention just being crap!!

They really need a button you can press to show what your abilities do when in game. Also, need some sort of message to let your team know they can revive you, and a message to the dead that you can be revived so don't leave right away.

surely you know what the chars abilities are before selecting them?

would make no difference. punishment such as a cool down for leaving early is what is needed. apex legends suffered from the same problem. randoms would spawn/drop hot, get murdered instantly then just quit and it was well known that reviving was a thing in that game. only when they started implementing punishment for quitting did it help improve things.
it's just the nature of that sort of mechanic. if a random joins they aren't gonna sit about twiddling their thumbs while someone they aren't communicating with maybe, might, possibly go rez them.

When you are selecting your character in a match, it doesn't show the abilities. this means that if the character you 'know' is taken, you don't know what the one you selected can do - especially the passives.

Giving a message that you can be revived will definitely stop some people quitting, as some people think they are fully out at that point. I know I left my first few games before knowing that. Obviously the standard rage quitters won't care.

ah right sorry yea.

i think you're giving people too much credit. my experience in other games with a similar mechanic is that unless they are going to be getting revived pretty damn sharpish then they just leave, irrespective of messages or notifications. when you can be out and back in a new game quicker than it takes to get revived without risk of penalty people will always take the easy option.

edit: you're right though in that it should be more obvious that you can be rez'd - i just don't think it'll stop people quitting once they're dead.

Even if it doesn't stop many people from quitting, it will hopefully teach them that it is possible to bring your team back, so that they will know to do it in the future when they are alive and their team is dead.

I think they need to at least mention the revive option in the tutorial.

The coloured NPC you can drain are worth looking out for. You get cooldowns stacking on your abilities up to 50% and also increase in some stats such as melee damage, health recovery rate. I'm finding they tend to be easier to stack up on the periphery of the map.

Something about this game is just clicking with me. I've always loved the lore and the multiple Vampire clans from the Masquerade bloodlines game, so I guess that helps. Not to mention how utterly bored I am of Warzone this has come a long at the right time.

The movement and style of the game is superb. The weapons suffer from the typical 3rd person issue in which they don't feel as good as firing in first person but that movement and slashing with the purple Katana or Dual blades makes up for it. I've had quite a few solo wins now.

There is definitely stuff they need to balance. Prowler class is far to good at the moment and the blue/purple crossbow is out right broken. The life steal from the purple melee weapons needs toned down a bit also. Absolutely huge potential in this game though!

Not had a single problem to date, then tonight the game has started to dump me back into the main social area (Eternity?) with no reason why. Just running around the city, doing my thing and BAM - loading screen and I'm back in the social area.

Checked that their shonky anti cheat is running. Verify files through steam?

Verified files and all is OK, don't know about the anti-cheat - it never crossed my mind. Got to go to work now though, so I'll see if it's still doing it tomorrow and if so I'll start to have a root around.

Anybody else been experiencing major weirdness over the last couple of days. One example, I sneaked up on someone who was camping out behind a chimney stack. They didn't see me and I opened up with an AK and put a magazine into them before they even moved, saw the damage numbers but then they just fired once with a pistol and downed me, despite me having full health and body armour. Then when it cut to me spectating them they still had full health and proceeded to do the same thing on another player, hid behind a chimney, stood up and one shotted them from distance with a pistol.

The single player RPG is a separate team and project. This existing has nothing to do with the release of the RPG.
I never said it detracts from the development of Bloodlines 2. I straight up don't know why they decided to make this game at all

A CRPG maybe, that would make sense and I can imagine fans of the setting would have liked that. This just reeks of bandwagon jumping

Still gutted that "world of darkness" collapsed.

That could have been epic.

If the BR game provides income, that can only help the "vampire" genre.
