Blow out on the M1

You could try some Cheddar?

Eg: Eagle F1s. Just in case u dont know why he referes to them as that is because a couple people killed some of them and blamed the tire for being faulty
Ive never had them but from what i hear they are damm good tires :)
BTW Fox is being sarcastic when he calls them that :)

I read it all thinking something out of the ordinary happened, like his car rolled over 5 times :)

mystic, did you make it into the services or have to change the tyre on the hard shoulder. can be a bit scary changing an offside wheel on the hard shoulder just a few feet away from trucks speeding past.

No , I didn't make it to the services, I had to change it over on the hard shoulder. I was quite lucky as I was parked underneath one of those digital sign boards and I was given some extra room to park up, until I got it sorted :)

But seriously though, why did you feel the need to post about the blow out. Was it your first time? Didn't you notice something was wrong earlier?

Don't tell me...your car has a blow out on a weekly basis and now your l337 skills allow you to carry on driving at 70mph with a tyre shredding bits of rubber all over the motorway

First time? I've been driving for 18 years and NEVER yet had a blow out.

I've been driving over 5 years and have also never had a blow out. Never even seen one happen around me or in a car I was travelling in never mind had one.

If I had one I'd probably post about it. Don't see the problem.

This was my first blow out as well. I have been driving since 1990. So its an experience for me and a good learning curve, espically as I haven't changed a tyre before as well and being on the hard shoulder isn't any fun and quite dangerous to boot :)

I had a rear tyre get shredded on my old Cavalier estate. The thing is - I didn't notice it! I pulled onto the hard shoulder because of people flashing, beeping and pointing and saw that there was only about half a tyre left!

Good motor, that old Cav. Best £250 I ever spent.
