I gave the demo a play, wasn't keen on it, but I've never been a fan of this kinf of turn based RPG.

Well, only the combat is turn based. If that's what you meant then I'm sorry, you just worded it badly :p

turn based is what i like, i dont like being rushed while fighting bosses, good strategy is always best :),

and few posts up, DQ8 is the best rpg I have ever played :P, (or one of the best)

Really looking forward to this.

Most anticipated RPG since Grandia II for me.

Will move onto Bioshock once I've had this done.

well I have been contemplating this game since it was announced for the japan market and now that the elite bundles are out I have decided that it will be a nice addition to my collection. Although it will have to wait until I have played through Bioshock and the rest of my other games.

Although the demo wasn't the best I think this will have me entertained for hours and hours and could take me back to those good old days of playing FFVII on the PC.

I really hope that's the case. The more opinions and reviews I see, the more my hopes are dashed for this game. Seems there may be two camps of thought - traditionalists and those who can't understand why it remains firmly based in old RPG style. I'm quite happy for it to feel like an older game if it has an amazing story and plays well.

Any more reviews of this yet?

I didnt have a clue what was going on in the demo...will the full game lead you by the hand a bit more, introduce you to the combat system and so on?

its been years since I played FF7 and I did love it, so Blue dragon does have a certain charm, but the combat had me scratching my head with no instruction booklet?!

me neither, i was really looking forward to this as i've never played a japanese RPG but they just made the demo completely unapproachable. There was no explanation for what any of the powers did, i just ended up clicking random stuff and watching odd little cutscenes with big blue creatures coming out of the characters heads or something, was very odd. Personally im looking forward to lost oddyssey a bit more, i hope they make a better demo for that.

I played the demo last night I thought it was very good especially when the boss fights kick off and we see the limit breaks. I'm going to get this friday but the only thing that worries me slightly is the storyline, I hope its a fully fledged adventure with twists and turns!

the graphics were delightful I thought by the way...it looked like you were playing a genuine cartoon...lovely textures and depth and character to them

just hope they make it a bit more approachable as I really want to like it.

I think it will be. Myself I just skipped all the tutorials at the beginning of the demo and jumped straight in. In the full game each concept will be introduced gradually I hope! If not theres always the manual. :)
