I think the song is about 3 verses but that was part of the chorus.

Every single boss fight. One reviewer went on about this a lot. I remember the first time I played the demo realising the song would kick in quite a bit.

Oh well, apparently you can turn off the annoying-as-hell squeeky voice. That's one thing.

Yeah, hearing the words "DEFEATED" every couple of seconds did start to get annoying.

Was annoying the first time I heard it. Then it dawned on me that the hideous sound files would occur quite frequently.

I firmly believe that every game development house needs a couple of people appointed with the role of doing nothing but screaming 'WHHY?' at the designers/developer through a megaphone at random but frequent times in the day.
 
Seems like as with everyone else I bought this today along with Bioshock. :)

how does this compare to Final Fantasy? I disliked final fantasy XII due to the lack of communication between characters and a weak plot. Does this have a decent story line and dialogue?? Also are all of the environments very 'clinical'?
 
So far it seems a little rushed, the storyline that is, not the game itself. I've played for about 40 minutes and lots of stuff has happened.
 
What really puts me off these types of games is when you get to a point where a boss is just unbeatable because you havn't level'd up enough or made the right choices. I got to a point in FF12 where I just hit a brick wall basically and I didn't have any previous saves.

I'm tempted to pick this up after I've finished Bioshock, will I run into any similar problems or should I be ok? I've noticed a lot of people saying its easy :)
 
Just bought this off the bay for £33, hopefully the guy isn't shipping it from China or somewhere becoz I want to play it asap.

I've not played one of these types of games in ages, last one I think was Golden Sun 2 on the GBA :eek:

Yea, it seemed to speed through to the shadow stuff, but from then on it's quite calm.


Over 20 hours in now, not bored at all (characters at lvl 31)

I feel I'm personally rushing it because my copy of Bioshock hasn't arrived yet :/

So Bioshock hopefully tomorrow, if not, I've got Condemned and Overlord waiting.
 
going to download the demo of this and bioshock, was going to buy them both for £70 before, the special edition bioshock with the figurine!

Could probably pick them both up in the MM in 2 weeks for £25 each, jsut whether to get the figurine or not, will work out about £20 but people have said they are selling them on the bay for £30+

Hopefully Ill love the demo though as it looks awesome from that video linked a while ago
 
i'm on disc 2, game is very, very easy if you jusy go around on your route killing/engaging all fights on your way, i'm at the ice field on disc 2 and my stats are all my characters are on LV30, and may hadow LV's are Shu - (main character) shadow LV 42 the others are shadow LV 34, 35, 36, Shu's Health at 527 and magic at 244, the others at health at 208, 419, 354 and magic at 310, 178, 140

playtime just under 30hours

Not lost 1 fight against anyone,

But boy ain't this game stingy on achievments, i only have 15points, lol, everything seems to be for MAX character/shadow, certain scripted events and finding hidden monsters, lol

It is a good but simple/basic game, not a FF beater thats certain depth wise, but if you like these sort of games then yes worth playing
