Blueyonder/Telewest speed upgrades

Hey guys

Maidstone UBr is scheduled for upgrade today HOWEVER no other work is scheduled for Maidstone, when they did Gillingham it had a Network Ugrade scheduled too. Can any conclusions be drawn from this? Like this is the last link in the chain which needs to be done and then switch on? Or am I being too optimistic?

I think its 'Ubr' first then 'network upgrade' that needs to be done. Jarrow's ubr was done on monday but it still 2meg for me with no other upgrades scheduled. Can someone clarify the maintenance thats needed to get the speeds, is it just those 2 mentioned?

Hmmm

Theres actually no 'network upgrade' scheduled for Maidstone at all, it maybe that its already been done and that the UBr is the last link in the chain, thats really what I wanted to clarify.

I'd love to think that we'll get done overnight tonight but I'm not going to hold my hopes up too high :)

It goes -

UBR upgrades then Network upgrade

Gillingham was scheduled for both on the 3rd October and should take 6-8 hours.

It's now the 6th and the UBR's have been done, but the Network upgrade has not.

They have to fiddle with EVERY green box at the end of the roads then they can say that the network upgrades are done :)

Hope that helps!

Hmm strange.

Unless the UBR upgrade was done in Solihull ages ago, we had the network upgraded last night. But apparently we wont have 10 mbit until the end of November, how does that work?

hi.
my area ubrs were upgraded 10days ago but will not be switched to upgraded speeds till 17 october.
in custom pc their is an article which states that ntl are changing their 35gig cap is to be changed to 75gig per month, thats not to bad.
cheers ian.

I was part of the 'trial' for 10 mbit and my Belkin Pre-N wireless router handled the 10 mbit speed without problem. Hope that helps.

The father in law says that BY has been down this morning and is now back, which falls in to line with the schedule, if the other work has been done, maybe we wil see the speed increases sooner rather than later.

Odd, Solihull which was started at 00.01 last night is showing as completed already, maybe they hit a snag with the Gillingham upgrade, I see there was a power supply outage last night which might have something to do with it.

When i phoned them up, the woman said they have to go to every green box at the end of the roads and "fiddle".

Very technical minded woman, she was.

Just got to keep waiting i guess.

I just hate it how my friend 2 mins away has 10mb :(

I'm still on 1mb :(

I just called up BY because they havent upgraded me to 4 mbit.

Anyway have been forwarded to NTHell!!!!!!!!!!! This is not good, this really is not good.
