My first post!!!
Been reading this site a lot lately and have been keeping a constant eye on the upgrades!
I live in Walsall and have yet to recieve the upgrade to 10 mb.
I was until saturday gone on 2mb.
I phoned customer service and explained that it said in their FAQ that people who are on 2mb can go to 4mb for the same price of £35, If they haven't got the 10mb yet!!! Heres a link , Read ALL of number 4!!! http://anniebrion.myby.co.uk/evenfaster-faq.html#para1
Now it tells you to use Selfcare, which I did but got an email saying it would take upto 48 hours. Having seen on here someone ringing and getting it done I rang Customer services Sunday morning and said I wanted the broadband Elite 4mb! They told me it would be £50 a month!!! I then pointed them in the way of the FAQ link above and they then realised I was correct and it would only be £35 a month. She did it there and then and Double checked my new price and it was £35 a month for the 4mb Elite!
Anyway I rebooted within 5 minutes and there it was, 4mb!!! Wahey (wish I'd known earlier though)
So if you ask for an upgrade and they say it'll be £50 point them to the FAQ and tell them to do it and they'll see that there is no increase in price!!!
Also before I did this I phoned Technical, who haven't a clue, they said it'd be £50 a month and that the 4mb speeds would be dropping to 2mb before the main 10mb upgrade! NOT A ******* CLUE!!!!!!!!!
Why can't companies keep each other informed about what's going on?
