Do Sytner give warranty on used cars? might go look at this, also nothing about history..

That is 'Used', not 'Approved Used' - BMW have changed their website lately to make this distinction.

So it may not have the BMW AUC warranty. Probably had a late service, or missed a service. Needs the original grille putting back on as well!

BMW Used Cars share all of the Approved Used Car Benefits however may not meet BMW's Approved Used Car servicing standards and therefore are sold without a verified service history. All vehicles undergo the same meticulous checks as an Approved Used Car and will have a comprehensive service completed before reaching the forecourt. For more details, contact your local BMW Retailer.

Yeah just saw that, might call them up and see what they say. Not bothered about the minging wheels or grilles they can be changed.

You won't be able to put the extended warranty on it without a FSH also dealers can put them through non used approved when they have previously been remapped. They flash them back to standard however the car is then not eligible to have the AUC/extended warranty from that point onwards.

Took my BMW 120d e82 coup In today with the aim of them replacing the master cylinder, as I have clutch depress issues and also sometimes hard to start (clutch pedal down start). .

I know there is a little flywheel rattle which started Nov 2023.

However I was hoping they would change the master cylinder first as a first try. As this does the pedal hydrolics and clutch switch on (to start car)

They said after looking at it they wouldn't do the clutch master cylinder without doing the flywheel replace and clutch..as if you replace the master cylinder without replacing the clutch and flywheel the issue is likely to return quickly.

I was aiming as a temp fix whilst I look around for a replacement car. I didn't want to sink £1200 for clutch, flywheel, master cylinder replacement then look at getting rid of the car.

At the moment it's on 130k miles , it did have an oil service today though. The car is drivable but the clutch pedal is a little soft and sometimes doesn't return to normal position unless you get your foot round the back of it . And sometimes doesn't start unless you press the clutch further to the floor (exceeding the normal pressure you would use) but it is starting .

I will have a think and keep an eye on it. Although I need to possibly excellerate looking for a replacement car .

Worst case scenario and it fails before I find a replacement car I'll have to shell out the £1200 to replace the clutch, flywheel and master cylinder

What’s everyone’s thoughts on this 340i?

Seems to tick all the boxes. Price is a tad high though.

if you're spending that much on the repairs then you might as well keep the 120d
if you don't want to keep the 120d then you need to hurry up before it becomes undriveable

Colour looks as dreary as possible, but spec looks OK as I understand people are scared of ticking the box for the ACC...

I doubt you'll find many with that specification for less with the same mileage though. It's priced like that because it only has 10k miles on it.

Specification is identical to mine other than colour so I'm probably a bit biased :D

Why buy a BMW and follow people?
For stop-start traffic it's an absolute godsend. I usually turn it off on motorways as someone will inevitably fill the gap*

*For the very few times I'm not hogging the fast lane, obvs.
