They differ in the fact that all the other brands keyless systems WORK, whereas BMW's one chooses to work as and when it feels like it.

My car is 6 years old right now of which i have had it for the last 2, i've never had a moment when it didnt work.

Im sure all brands have their issues with the odd car.

Surely faulty? It sounds completely unacceptable to me that you do not have a reliable keyless entry system in a car at M3 pricepoint. I'd be screaming at the dealer relentlessly until it was sorted.

USA being the USA i am surprised there isn't a recall if it really does affect a large number of vehicles.
