BMW Free Zone

I'm not sure I like it in here.

The furniture is falling apart, the seats aren't heated, and sometimes it's nice for the cooling system not to work.

But on the plus side, we don't have dented leather.

How about E30 BMW's? They're still awesome.

In the light of the recent BMW take over of the motors subforum, I would like to declare this a BMW free zone where people can discuss the many other manufacturers of motor vehicles.

I for one do not care about the 116i and the variants of the 2.0. I don't care about your new BMW.

GO AWAY

hehe, the motors forum here does seem to like its Mondeo's and BMWs. Are we allowed to speak negatively about BMWs? ;)

Thats because the BMW offerings in most sectors are usually "best in class", the mondeo has been best in its class and price bracket since before the wheel was invented.

I left the BMW owners club in April, although since I left about 5 more people have joined it, and those are just the ones that posted and that I noticed :p

I have luxuary, wood, leather, climate control, a decent engine and supreme comfort ...and there is nothing German about any of it :D

On the other hand, I suspect I will be back in a BMW some time, I like them too much, the new Z4 looks absolutely lovely. There is just something about the way they drive.

I agree about the Mondeo. Are you saying where a BMW has been made to fit a market, nothing else competes with each model they do? Not quite sure I follow.

I drive a Toyota and i need a new clutch.

lol

I drive a Corsa and Mondeo both for financial reaons and not really out of choice. The Mondeo is an old TDi estate but a complete work hourse, reliable (touch wood) and very comfortable. The turbo lag is ridiculous and it's possibly slower than any BMW ever made of which I am proud of. :)
The Corsa is a petrol 1.2 2003 plate, and nippy yet economical. It seems a good little motor and a shame whenever I drive it fast I get labelled a chav. To be expected tho :)
I used to have nice cars before I had kids ;)

If BMW make a model for a Particular class, like the 3 series is in the Compact Executive market, that BMW is usually the best or almost the best in its class, thats why people on here like this brand so much.

Few exceptions to this rule, 1 series comes to mind.

I drive a Fiat van, given this I should surely chair this club?

One problem is though that I think BMW make some of the finest cars around.

In case anyone else forgets

I think I have a BMW but I've not seen it for nearly 6 weeks. It might actually have rusted away or something. I wonder if it'll start on Friday :p
