A Breadvan/Clown shoe car....or an awesomely underrated RWD monster?

0-100 in 11 seconds, don't forget. :D Worth it for £15k?

lol the old one looked like a Nissan and this one is half Z3 half Audi A3 :P

*edit*

by 0-100 you mean in kilometres per hour right?

Miles per hour. 0-100 Kmh in 11 seconds is poor towncar performance :p
I'd love one, pity I couldn't afford to run it at the minute. Maybe some day.

Looks a lot better than the convertable, and I bet it handles a lot better too. Cool car once you get over the 'disabled' slight look to the back. :p

I was going to start a thread like this, the M-Coupe in my eyes really is an unsung hero.

The facelift has the awesome S54 engine from the e46 M3. Even the pre-facelift developed 321bhp. Officially it would hit 62 in 5.3s - but BMW are known for being very conservative with this figure. Due to the stiffer body of the Coupe it was always going to handle better than the Roadster. The facelift also has the awesome Dynamic rev counter that the e46 M3 and e39 M5's got .

The roadster and coupe are both based on the Z3, which was based on the e36 3-series Compact. However the rear suspension from the e36 wouldn't fit the roadster body, so the suspension setup from the e30 was used - originally designed in the 80s. So not really the best of starts, but it was heavily reworked for the M models.

The original design for the Z3M did not incorporate an LSD - however, it was so powerful that DSC couldn't keep the wheels from lighting up, so one had to be fitted anyway

What year is that from?

Also, What are the M roadsters like - they appear to be even cheaper!?

Facelifted in March 2001 - Phoenix Yellow and Laguna Seca Blue were included as part of the facelift.

the an only around 150 pheonix yellow m coups in RHD

Due to the lighter weight they area tad faster than an M3 (but hot mine of course) ;)

saw one of these the other week in front of us at the lights in town. at first i didnt have a clue what it was, the back seems so wide and strange when u see it in the flesh, and the 4 pipes look great too! they do look good, and the rareity adds a certain mistique to them i reckon. they can shift too!
