You dont need the extra load ones on the M3, perhaps thats why you've been paying slightly more.....dunno!
Can I just ask what tyres they* are?

Garrett said:Get one with a BMW warranty. This lasts 3 years, you can then continue the warranty for a princely sum of around £1200 per year, BMW recently changed the terms and upset a lot of people to set a £250 excess on any warranty claims. Still well worth having though in my book.
warrantydirect now offer a warranty for M3 at approx £800 pa. FCUK BMW
The other significant costs will be fuel (I get around 23pmg on Optimax) and tyres, expect to pay at least £800 for a set.
More things to consider:
Phoenix Yellow and Laguna Secca Blue will be cheaper to purchase as the colours are a bit love or hate and most people hate them.
if they are love and hate, why not wait till you find someone who loves it and is willing to pay a comparable price? i personally love PY and im sure others do.
SMG or manual - SMG box is great, you hear hardly any complaints from drivers, personally I choose a manual. I'd test drive both and see which you prefer.
Agreed, no reliability problems with the SMGII
Make sure you get 19 inch wheels - but watch out for curbed alloys as they are very hard to refurbish.
yes 19s might look bling but 18's are what the chassis was designed on and favour the handling. pay your money make your choice
Sat Nav/DVD is a desirable option and will help resale value, I think I'm right in saying that 2004 cars onwards were upgraded to a digital TV reciever rather than analogue.
Check the service book, and make sure its had all the services done on schedule otherwise you'll have problems with the warranty.
1200 mile running in or warranty is void.
If its an early car make sure that the engine recall work has been done.
If any of the engine warning lights on the dash stay on when the engines started walk away.

Oracle said:£15k on options!? The standard 535d SE is £38k according to BMWs website
Oracle said:and BMW 'officially' havent signed the 335d off.
Kingy said:You mentioned in other threads wanting to spec a 535d to £55k.
Kingy said:The first post in the second link I posted previously said that the Summer 2005 BMW magazine had confirmed it would be produced.
Oracle said:This is true. The M Sport 535d Touring is £43K then you can chuck some options on and you've got an easy £55k, I priced it up on Satruday.
Oracle said:I believe the reason is because it would (in standard trim) compete fairly easily with the new and old M3 in certain areas. It is likely to be slightly detuned over the 535d variant.
Kingy said:*sigh* Ok then, £12k on options, whatever.
What do you get for the extra cash?
I've got a lot of time for the BMW six cylinder diesels, but an alternative to the M3? Pull the other one.
