BMW Steptronic

Well I'm not 100% sure on this, but the 2001 X plate 330d's I've looked at have a slightly different front end with the rectangular fogs, the 2001 51 plate 330d's have the circular fogs. 2001 Tourers I looked at had the rectangular fogs and larger "mesh" intake in the front spoiler. Were options available? I dunno, what I do know though is that I have a 330d :)

The E46 3 Series was facelifted in late 2001. The headlights and front/rear bumper were changed. The Saloon was facelifted first. This is why you'll find different variations around X, Y and 51 plate. The first facelift cars were 51 plate.

wtf, i have a turbo petrol car and I get around that!

What around town, in stop-start traffic? Yes ok I believe you :)

The same 530d was showing a much healthier 43.2mpg after I took it on a 500 mile round trip to Heathrow Airport :p

It's an E46 SE front bumper - you can find them on 330d's, 330i's, 320d's, 318s... etc.

True, Tourers were different, 330d SE tourers had the Rectangular fogs with larger lower grill from memory.

I'll check my mates next weekend, but he definately does not have that bumper on his 330d SE T

That's better than my normally aspirated 2.0 Mondeo - you either seriously drive like an old person or don't work out MPG properly :p

well, i shift up at no more than 3k so the turbo doesn't get a whiff ;)

and this was worked out by the odometer and how many litres I put in to fill the tank back up to top
