What about a 5 series estate? That may be cheaper to insure, but it lacks the 4wd... Try another mock quote for ****s and giggles.![]()
Ive considered a 5 series estate which look mint as estates go but i need something the can drive over very uneven ground to my lakes, not off roading but theres no way i would take my 3 series over it would deffo bottom out.

We have a X6 in the works car park,it's hideous.
Fair dos, I speed read the thread and read the fishing part didn't read that bit. The x5 is suprisingly good off road too isn't it despite being an above average road car too no?
I'd imagine it depends on the tyres - cant see the low profile ones being much cop offoad?
Pedro show the side profile, its worse!

x5 for fishing you must be joking ? there no were near big enough
we have a vectra vxr estate, looked around a few motors and it was the only one big enough to take all the tackle needed for 2 of us to fish matchs, which is a lot of tackle
granted it was £16,295 , tyres are £227 a piece, but worth it, and tbh it hasnt bottom out yet and its been over some pretty rough terrain to get to lakes and even rougher to get to quad tracks towing a rather large trailer, which is may add it did it within a stride even tho fuel consumption is 25mpg max and 7mpg when towing a trailer with heavy quads on the back
but itll blast every other thing towing a trailer away
the cars we tried were merc estates, 5 series, 3 series , x5, and a jag offering
i am now eagerly awaiting the vauxhall bashing comments
