Bog-standard "am I getting enough fps?" thread

I get 24fps average in Crysis benchmark (1680x1050 no AA) with my rig in sig.

Pertinent details:

CCC: vsync disabled / aa application control / 16af / highest quality mipmap / advanced CatAI

GPU clocks: 790 core / 990 mem

Vista64 DX10

Latest mobo BIOS, windows update, cat 8.9betas (8.54)

I've seen people with a single 4850 beat this, what's up???

i get like high 30's i think with 2 4870's in CF. i can only think your cpu is holding the rest of your rig back.

Not on the 4870/50 series its pretty much where it should be 4870 is beating gtx260 in some review losing in others only around a frame either way and 4850 competing nice with 9800gtx by around a frame but the x2 is another story though as crossfire does not scale well at all.

The cpu is stopping you getting a bigger score.

However, if you look at the database on here then your score is fine. You beat some other 4870's and lose to some 4870 and 4850 albeit they have a much faster cpu.

Also, i'd bet my life they are not running the benchmark with 16xaf and mipmap on lowest. People will tweak within the rules for posting fastest benchmark results.

Try again with the above adjustments and see what you get.
