Apparently there is a release in the boiler itself to let the water out if the pressure is up the creek or something, so it will leak out steadily. We called the guy who fitted it and he was like "LOL noob, bleed yer radiators". We did, and it worked fine.

We had a leak last winter, was caused by a faulty o-ring in the diverter. Whenever the hot water was turned on, it leaked (inside the boiler) and caused the pressure to drop. Did your plumber take the front off the boiler and look inside?
He has a dam and hydroelectric plant in the back garden.
Bleeding the radiators is always the first port of call.

Theres a thermostat thingy bottom right and bottom left theres a valve which is the one i assume i should untighten.

I wouldnt as im pretty sure they'll be a mixture of air and water in that radiator with the water being at the bottom lol. bleed the air from the top, get a key from a diy shop, done deal.
You may even have to do the process a few times if you have a lot of air in the system but eventually you should get it sorted.

NO! The one on the bottom left is the lockshield valve, leave it alone!
The bleed value is at the top, on the vertical side.
Will most likely look something like this. As previously mentioned in the thread, if your system is a sealed system it will have an expansion vessel on it, if the diaphragm in it has burst it may cause symptomns like this.
If bleeding the raidators doesn't work, get a plumber in to check the system out!

had a word with my neighbour. Dont need to bleed the radiators as the boiler (vokera) has some kind of system which does this automatically. (i had wondered why there didnt seem to be a bleed valve on the radiator)

Called hydroelectric again..theyre sending another engineer end of the week.
Heating and stuff still goes on its just a little bit more noiser/rattly than usual AND its apparently slower getting to the radiators according to my neighbour.

It's not that. If he rents, you speak to the landlord and get them to sort it. No point in sorting something out yourself when it's not your duty to.
