Bonnet gaps

Are you sure the whole 'it was my brother honest' isn't a face saving excercise :p

lol, it's not.

The repair didn't cost me a penny (I'm nearly fully paid back), all it's cost me is time and a few headaches!:p

cost my brother a few bruises and about £1100 or thereabouts!

Did your brother steal your car?

yeah, there was a thread where I posted all the details not so long ago, lemme find it.

Gah, can't find it. Long story short my brother stole it, wrote it off, Dad recovered it, cousin repaired it. Got it back a day or so before the RR.

You sure the bonnet's on straight? Looks like the offside needs to slide down around a centimeter and in doing so may correct some of the gap by the wing.

Given there was no insurance involved how was it a write off?

The chassis was bent, it needed a new wing, bumper and bonnet...it would have definately been a write off. Considering if you so much as claim for a dead bug on a wing mirror they write them off these days.

I just say written off because the car was cattle trucked. :)

I'm 99% sure it is, as it lines up with the rest of the car.

It's coming off tomorrow to be replaced with a new one anyway that's in much better condition. Can't wait till tomorrow, going to get RIGHT stuck in

Got your manifold o' southern one?

Indeed o' northern one! :D

tomorrow is manifold, induction and sorting the panel gaps out. If I get time it'll be either brakes all round or clutch/gearbox!

I'm either losing my job the day after or got a half day booked on Friday so even if I don't finish I can carry on either Thursday or Friday :) as I'm not completely car less as the mighty Maestro still bloody exists :(

Krikey Phate.. not sure how I missed the whole "brother stole my car then stacked it" situation

I hope you went postal on his ***?

Indeed, I bet myself that I could get the car back before his wounds healed. If I hadn't of been waiting ages for the bumper this would've been the case :p

And tbh I didn't create it's own thread, it emerged in a different one...

He's lucky he ain't my brother. Would not have been happy about that in the slightest. I hope he is paying for all the repairs.

How can the IT director fire himself?

lol! :p

Loads of 'department restructuring'

They laid off 5 managers a week and a bit ago (including mine), got rid of another guy today, my self and 2 other colleagues are up for redundancy and find out Thursday at 10am /o\

Redundancy sounds juicy? Any idea what the package would be?

err off the top of my head.... 3 to 6 months wage, my shares the company gave me (currently worth about £1500) and holiday pay.

So wouldn't be too bad :p - plus I can go find a job for better money as well :D

or just a bloomin huge cheque (severance pay I think it's called) so I don't bitch to other company's about them and the way they are treating staff at the minute! That's what my boss got! lucky git :p
