Bonsai for beginners

so do you have any tips please?

do i leave the seeds in water for 24hrs before planting? are they ok on a windowsill indoors then?

any advice much appreciated, i may check out the library tomorrow see if there are any good books.

From what I remember, they came in little pots that I kept in a warm airing cupboard until they started to germinate. After that they went in special compost (for bonsai seedlings) on a windowsill that got plenty of light. I suspect though that the conditions they need will depend upon the variety of tree that you're trying to grow. Some will be hardier than others and will do well outdoors. Others will do better in artificial (indoor) conditions.
