I upgraded the RAM to 1Gb. I just spoke to Apple and they said it takes about 3 days to build. Then if it ships from Holland it should be another 3 days but if it ships from China 10 days.

I need it for business so I might need to find out if they will upgrade the shipping for a fee.
 
You guys that say you are using windows for games, are you talking about a macbook or a macbook pro? Surely a standard macbook will run hardly any games because of the onboard graphics?
 
There is another option for running Winblows programs on an Intel Mac. You could try CrossOver Mac.

It is very useful if you just have maybe one or two Winblows programs that you need to run and has the advantage of not needing a full copy of Windows either.

I will be trying it out, as well as the others, when I get my new iMac (anyday now!) I am unsure how it works with games though.

At my work we use TNT and we ship worldwide with them and all the packages they offer are half the time of when they ship apple's stuff! I can't see why shipping takes so long!

Its about 3-5days to build and 2weeks to ship! If your lucky.

Hopefully my macbook will arrive soon! I'm sure BeatMaster feels the same!

Hey beatmaster, you need to go HERE and copy in the code thats starts with a 2

My expected was the 8th but has now been put back to the 13th! Not much for apple saying it will arrive on or before the 11th! :rolleyes:


AJUK, I had a look into crossover but the list of apps that work doesn;t seem to be all that uptodate, 2000 apps maybe but they all say not sure or not tested. Do you know if visual basic 6.0 works as thats all I really need xp for.

It just says this now when I try to track the number and the TNT website link shows "Not Found"

arnhem??? in nederlands i think.. well tiesto in concert was at the arnhem geledrome so its in nederlands.

Apparently it's China's National Holiday so any orders that are still there are stuck until Monday! :mad:

I hope this rumor isn't true otherwise it's going to be a long wait for me....

This is it, there isn't really a set date as such and Apple leave quite an open book :( I think your Macbook will be here on Friday at a push but most likely on Monday or Tuesday. Mine on the otherhand, could be here Wednesday next week or maybe even longer at this rate!

Nooooo! I just got in from work and TNT tried to deliver only 40mins before I got home!! The sad thing is I can't pick it up because the depo is a 2 hour trip!

So I have to wait till tomorrow now and theres no way I can get time off!

Hey hey beatmaster!!!

Let me sy its worth the wait!

Well I am typing this on my lovely new macbook :D

It arrived at about 2pm today!

Sadly I can not play with it for long as I have to go out :rolleyes: but when I get in i plan to put it through its paces!!

First take on it is: very fast, mega sexy, lovely and quiet!!

Will update more probably tomorrow when I have had chance to properly play!

One very happy bigmac!!!!
