Boots Question

I think it's up to you, I have JF Pelle leather trousers that zip into a hi vis Wiese jacket, both have armour in various places then the Maverick boots, decent gloves with a XR1100 lid, I wore all that on my 125 Varadero everyday, yes it seems a bit overkill but I've been off before and it hurts so I'm able to relax a little more all kitted up.

Yes if I was in town on a Vespa I'd consider only a lid and I often just pop out in just a lid but it's all about the risks you are willing to take, if you don't fancy getting all kitted up then don't, draggin jeans a leather jacket some decent gloves are a compromise and up too you not the internets

I commute to work most days on the bike. In winter when I need the extra warmth I wear my full armored trousers with thermal inserts. In the better weather I just wear Hood jeans. I do however wear full length TCX biker boots under the jeans all the time, whatever the weather.

I find the boots perfectly comfortable to walk around in if I need to, but for my job I just leave a pair of my work boots there to change into once I arrive.

I thought those forma "boots" were ok for your needs, it's not like you're gonna be hooning it and filtering through traffic. peer pressure? lol

Na,

After looking at the Altberg site and the reviews they are Boots to get for life.

They resole and repair them..And their understated functionality won me over.

The formas look too busy and as said offer no shin protection.I like the idea of buying from a local Company, handmade and not some mass produced crap with go faster stripes :p

@£179 and people wearing them for 5 years + they offer good value. Many have come off and Altberg repair and rebuild the boots for you.

Oh and 100% no reports of leaking

Its a no brainer and I can't believe no-one had already recommended them tbh

Doh, sorry!
Fantastic boots though. Mine are on their 3rd stint after their 2nd refurb and are good as new.
I've never had wet feet wearing them, even long rides through torrential rain/sleet/snow.

Got these, some Altberg Clubman Classics..Great Boots and really comfy. They ooze quality and I feel so much safer when wearing them.
