Borderlands 2 worth getting?

blah blah, I am right you are wrong blah blah.

Again you spent the whole time telling me opinion was wrong. Your post is a load of rubbish.

If you can point out where I said not to buy the game then please show it? I said if He didn't like BL1 chances are he wouldn't like BL2. In fact nobody said he shouldn't get the game.

And if anyone asks my opinion of a game, I give my opinion of the game, I don't tell them what other people think of the game. He can take my opinion or leave it. You could twist your whole argument around, he might buy the game and hate it just like you didn't like unchartered.

Going by popular opinion in todays world isn't always the best thing. I would always get the opinions of my friends first because they will tell me honestly what they thought of a game, and they wouldn't recommend me a game just because the reviews were good. I read the negative reviews as well because they tend to be more honest. For example I didn't buy unchartered because of negative reviews. I played it in a friends house later and hated it.

And the last part of your post it telling me why I didn't like BL2 more. WTF? Are you going to tell me what kind of music I like? What films I like?

My opinion of the game is just as valid as yours. The majority isn't always right, in fact, there are countless times when the majority is wrong.

Nah, just saying that in comparison to the first, like I said later on, I have over 80 hours in it so it can't be all bad :)

What annoys me is that He is telling you that your opinion is giving the wrong impression of the game. Nowhere have you said that BL2 is a bad game, all you have ever said is that you liked BL1 more.

But obviously you are wrong!! You can't have an opinion different than the masses. Apologise immediately and repent before the gaming Gods. You heathen!!

:D

You can still headshot with No Kill Like Overkill and a DPUH :p

Besides the correct answer is actually murdering them all with a buzzaxe :p

The second is undoubtedly a good game, however I found myself missing the desert vibe of the original. It was incredibly atmospheric!

Saying your opinion isn't the norm isn't saying your opinion is wrong. I tried to make it very explicit that there is nothing wrong with liking BL1 better, but you're conveniently ignoring that bit.

Not sure why you're getting so ultra defensive, anyways. There is nothing wrong with feeling differently than most others. You seem to be the one struggling to accept that others have a different opinion, not me.

His first two posts give that impression very strongly, actually.

Anyways, this is getting boring and a bit sad.

Honestly after returning to it last weekend I thought the exact opposite. It was all far too samey and extremely drab and I didn't find it all that atmospheric!

I did learn that Skags are pretty much the nastiest things in the game though - BL2 ones are easy by comparison, even the chubbies and rabids!

Also despite the heated back and forth here the weapon leveling/longevity in BL1 is silly and the almost minimal need to weapon match to enemy type is laughable!

I rather like the weapons system in BL2 much more forethought required than most games I've played.

Some enemies I'm still unsure of their weakness but I'll get there.

I just like the vast variety in guns all with different trade offs. There doesn't seem to be a jack of all trades.

I'll give you this one for free: Bandit weapons pretty much suck. A few minor exceptions can be made for a rare gun or a legendary grenade mod but otherwise best avoided!
