Borderlands 3

Played for a few hours co op tonight, plays lovely and smooth! Loving the frantic gunplay and the exploding enemies on critical hit kill is very funny :p

Money well spent so far.

4K Ultra settings, AA off, 55fps.

Not fantastic but I’ll settle for that from the sofa. 2080Ti/2700X.

I’m sure a patch is going to improve things a little at some point soon.

Just turn volumetric fog to medium and you'll get 60fps

Cheers. Might do but it seems pretty slick bouncing around between 55-60 as it is for now. Will bear it in mind if it drops further into the game.

Haven’t tried DX12 yet but it’s meant to be buggy as hell.

Reading the above comments some of us are getting much more frames than others or possibly they haven't got to the more demanding parts.

This is a round up of the frame rates. This has a gtx 1080 average 48fps at 1440p.

I thought my gtx 1080 was ok on ultra at 1080p with some stuff turned down but joined a friends game further in and I think from now on Im going to have to play medium with textures turned up. Possibly even more turned down.

I think my main issue is a wanna stay above 60fps because I haven't got gsync/freesync. Nvidia is supposed to be releasing patch soon which might let me use it. If not my only option is swap to the 5700xt but it would be expensive for such a small upgrade.

I also noticed the resolution bug. If I start the game at 2160p it renders at 1440p until I go to settings, change resolution down, then back to 2160p.

had to get a refund from Gamivo as although the key was accepted by my epic account and allowed me to download prior to release, it would not unlock after release.

Reddit seems to have lots of people with simiolar issues from certain key websites seems they were giving out preorder DLC keys disguised as full retail. Wont be using them again.

Definitely seems to hit the "purchase in steam sale" category from what I've seen so far.

Everyone has different tastes I suppose but this is easily a full price purchase for me, just as the other Borderlands were, I've seen nothing yet which makes me think its a sale buy only. It will easily meet my £ per hour guidelines.

Logged on at 6pm last night, played solid til 11, haven't had a game hook me straight away like that for many years. Polished, played well, decent gunplay, itching to get back on later.

It's brilliant, great gameplay great graphics and it's fun.

I'm running it on Badass settings everything maxed at 3440*1440 locked to 60fps and its silky smooth. The trick is lowering the rendering to 75% as the impact on visuals is minimal.

Managed to get Sli working today with some help from Reddit lol 30-40fps better at ultra @ 3440x1440 around 60-70 now and i play on med with around 100fps thank god! single 980ti was doing 60 before

For those that are playing, how is the humour etc compared to BL2? Is it still stupidly whacky? I haven't really kept up with PC Gaming stuffs for the past 3-4 months so I'm very much out of date with the gameplay on this.

I think it's pretty good.

I'm not that into stories so not really following it much but there is lots of one line jokes and other little bits that make me giggle.

Been a mix for me so far some parts have been the usual Borderlands silly whacky humour but some other parts have had me genuinely laughing out loud
