Borderlands 3

I played the **** out of the first game... The second was great too but it never clicked as well as the 1st. But still, hyped for more Borderlands goodness!

B1 was great, but B2 just had more of everything. It had a bigger scope, a bigger world, more characters, more guns, and most of the DLC was simply terrific. I can't wait to see what B3 offers, I just hope they've gone hard on the single player and it's not going to be anything to do with any battle royal type of thing.

I hope they are aware of the backlash they would receive if the game was Epic Store exclusive. Let it be there, no problem, but give us an option to get it elsewhere as well.

Don't get the issue it's hardly a big deal having to use epic store.

Worse issues in the world

I think the network side will be very much like Fortnite whereby you log in with an Epic account on PC and link your Xbox/PSN accounts to Epic on console. Then you can choose cross platform play for the first time ever. And for this reason, I’m not sure they’ll bother porting it to Steam ever.

Gosh another game thread another discussion about Epic store exclusivity. I almost want it to happen just to see the meltdown on here and across the rabid social sphere.

Do I agree with it? Nope, will it stop me buying games I want to play, depends, it didn't with Metro but it may with others, that being said I'm platform agnostic, a launcher is a launcher for me and I use none of the other 'features'. If you are that bothered by it vote with your wallet, the majority of them are timed exclusives so you can play when it lands on your favoured platform. Epic will soon run out of fortnite money to grab exclusivity anyway so I doubt this will continue past the next year. Only so many sales they can prop up if it's true they are guaranteeing minimum sales instead of upfront cash.

To be completely fair, I don't really care on which store the game will be available, I'll buy it and play it either way. I just dislike the exclusivity for the sake of it just to boost your platform. If it's your game, let it be exclusive to your platform, but if it's not, don't. Simple as that, in my opinion.

I'm just saying for their sake that they are aware of the potential backlash, that's all.

A big shift happening on the PC platform and people are talking about it, who'd have thought. Amazing that some people don't want anti consumer exclusivity crap on PC and don't want to have 2-3 games in a series on one launcher then the third game on some barebones launcher, away from the rest of our achievements, friends, screenshot galleries etc etc. Gosh.

Most are timed exclusives so keep your money in your wallet and wait? There is nothing new to this discussion, if you don't like it don't support it, these decisions aren't likely to be swayed in the court of public opinion if Epic are funding any shortfall in projected sales as rumoured. Personally I'm just a bit bored entering a game thread hoping to read something interesting about the game or any other features and being met with the same rehashed discussion about Epic games store, there is a dedicated thread for discussing the pitfalls and merits of the platform.

Anyway I'm out will return when there is something tangible to discuss following the reveal.

I still drop into BL2 from time to time for a blast (Never finished the second play through) and it never looses it's appeal when I do play.

Super excited for the next installment.
Does someone know when the reveal will actually take place UK time? I had a feeling it is today/tomorrow Eastern time but not sure?

Fair enough, but theres not much else to discuss as all we have is a short teaser. It was just a couple of comments saying they hope it doesn't go Epic exclusive, not that big a deal really.

Hopefully we find out more soon. I'm just hoping it's more of the same and they haven't messed with the winning formula too much. Or added PVP or anything that will have watered down the coop element.

Considering 2K's parent company recently signed an exclusive deal with Epic for The Outer Worlds it's not too unbelievable that the discussion would turn to whether this game will be exclusive or not. 2K CEO has said recently he doesn't agree with exclusivity deals so i'm hopeful but it's not like a big publisher CEO to go back on their word is it .
