Borderlands 4 (2025)

Im sure they said you can combine weapon parts to create a new unique gun, I'm only lvl 34 but I cant for the life of me figure out how to mod my guns other then change the colour.

I think you have to hit lvl 50 with at least one character before you unlock the device which allows you to strip "firmware" off one item and apply it to another.

so what are peoples thought on it so far?

given issues with GPU and memory supply i wonder if the CEO may be reconsidering some words spoken/typed.

i see the reviews on steam are really mixed and it sems performance is still the main grip even in january.

do you think its worth the asking price you paid for it?

For a while I had Borderlands 4 on a par with Borderlands 2, but I now put it above Borderlands 2. I got it at full price and am happy with the price I paid for it :D

It was the only game I played for two months, so feel I got my monies worth.

Used the HW RT .ini file that someone posted on here and got better performance and graphics. However, I do have pretty good hardware so YMMV.

It started well and drew me in more than Borderlands 3 initially, but about half way through the open world became much more boring than any previous Borderlands IMO. The wife and I have co-oped all previous Borderlands titles (except Pre-Sequel) but both of us were happy to abandon this one half way through.

The gunplay is enjoyable, and it's not stupidly easy like 3, but the world is just not interesting and the variety of guns seems like a step down from the last couple of games.

Totally agree.

Other than Pre-Sequel this is the fastest I've ever uninstalled a Borderlands game. It just became so repetitive and boring, none of the characters were really interesting and I just thought most of the guns and builds were quite boring.

The game itself also lost it's charm for me, it just felt too polished which I'm struggling to explain.

It's only superior in terms of graphics and gameplay mechanics but then it's a 13-year newer game.

In terms of story, endgame and replayability, 2 still kicks 4's backside.

Well, YMMV as they say, for you 2 is better than 4, for me 4 is better than 2. Different strokes and all that :)

BL 4 was great fun until you realise it has absolutely no endgame.
Yeah see thats actually fine for me, I've never been interested in doing an endgame in any of the Borderlands games, just not something I do with Borderlands titles. Truth be told, outside of MMOs I dont bother with endgames in any titles
