I have started playing Borderlands, this is one of the most fun games that I have played for a long time.

Get it!

Also I agree, it's awesome.
 
The much talked about million variation of weapons became its achilles’ heel when the "awsome weapon" you found became a spud gun within a few level ups. Kind of found the boring after a few hours.
 
it's best played as a 4 map group regular 9ie you all play together on-line for the whole game) :)
 
Meh i never played it as anything but SP. Got my Brick up to lvl69 now, i just need to go kill Taylor Kobb a few times till he gives me a decent damn The Roaster instead of a single shot piece of crap.

Also i can't figure out why General Knoxx hasn't scaled with level... every enemy in the game was my level +1 or 2 (till lvl69) and both Zombie Island and Claptrap matched my level with quests, yet Knoxx is stuck at lvl51 so they aren't really a threat and none of the items are worth picking up.
 
Its a great game, played all the add ons aswell, got a bit bored so i designed some ubercannons and put them in the game, it sort of became a sort of minigame on its own.
 
Glad you like it, personally I did to start with then I got really bored with it, it just lost its appeal. One of the few shooters I've passed up on.
 
played this loads and loads....loved the zombie and mad moxxi expansion. couldnt get into general knoxx though, restarted the game and again did moxxi and zombie then got bored out of our heads on general knoxx.
i couldnt get enough of this game up until i came across general knoxx, it's not like its bad, i just found it dragging and was forcing myself to play through it in the end.
even bought the claptrap expansion only for it to be never loaded, i cant seem to get through knoxx without thinking im wasting my days off playing this.

it is a great game but general knoxx was a game killer for me and being buggy it didn't help...both the times we tried to play through it, we had occasions where we reached the map marker only for nobody to be there.

i know i know general knoxx was meant to be the best one :p

I bought the game in the sales for about 13 pounds with all the addons and played it with some friends and did the whole game in about 4days about 50 hours, could'nt get off it thought it was awesome , played as lilith and got a fire pistol that was mint
 
This game seems to be in such a pickle.

@Evilsod - are you playing the normal version or the GotY version and is it from Steam?

I don't know whether Steam applied all the patches to both versions nor whether they fixed the 360 gamepad graphics. I saw on OnLive their version has the proper graphical buttons when playing with the gamepad but my Steam normal version just has the PC keys displayed at all time.
 
What are the differences on the normal game and GOTY edition on Steam?

I have the normal edition. I'm level 25 so far, and as for it being linear, I don't understand why you say that, you can go anywhere and explore the whole game.
