shame its full of cheaters on the PC, you have to watch what weapons you pick up if you play with people online as 90% of them are hacked OP guns lol.

and if your like me, cheating ruins games

It's not linear, but I do find it to be a bit repetitive. Get a quest, kill some guys, take loot, collect reward. I find it repetitive, however, I think that the game is so good and addictive that this doesn't make a difference.

Better playing it with people you know and can speak with. Playing with randoms will result in a bad time because someone will pick all the weapons, another will never bother to heal you when you are down and another will run off and play rambo.

I avoided it like the plague as I had heard it starts off very dull and repetitive but, on a whim during the steam sale decided to buy it and it's a blast. Soooo much better playing with mates though than going solo or with a bunch of randoms.

I wouldn't play something like this with randoms online anyway. Solo or with people you know

Yeah I had to blackmail a few of my console playing friends over to pc gaming by sending them a few guest passes. Amazing what free stuff will do, even for just a couple of days.

Bump for this, my mate bought me this for Christmas and it's just came through the post today, shocking.

Anyone playing this? Would be awesome to team up, I don't have it on steam it''s a retail box, but i can add it on steam I assume?

No, you can't add the retail version to steam.

You can add non steam games to steam, but only as a medium to boot the game from. So that you can have it all in once place. The only steam feature available is shift + tab to access steam community.

I'd be up for playing borderlands, not home very often though :\

Yeah, I think you have to sign up for a gamespy username or something like that, it's done via one player hosting their own save game and others joining it.

Ok this doesn't warrent it's own thread but how / where do I enter the DLC Keys on STEAM, I get a prompt each time I run the game but can't see where to enter them!

I've tried launch steam, click on the top where it says games, select activate a product on steam! (Thanks Amnesia) but that says it's an invalid code!

What dlc are you trying to install? Did you buy it off steam or from a disc?

You can't activate DLC on Steam, AFAIK.

I purchased it as part of the GOTY package on Steam, so i should hope you can activate it iviv.

I like the game. good multiplayer game. It gets a lot harder in after completing both playthrough's - especially after the updates last november. The General Knoxx DLC seems the best add-on. claptrap revolution dlc not bad either. lot better and harder when playing online with mates. avoid modding - it will just ruin it.
