Borders?

hmm thats odd, i use cs3, tho i would have thought it would be the same process in cs4?

Its because your images are already larger than the canvas size, so instead of showing the background colour it shows the bits of the source images that were cut off by the canvas edge.

Crop it back to the original image size then do it again.

How do I do this?
 
crop the image, then go to IMAGE, IMAGE SIZE, enter what ever size you want and hit ok.

Just want the black I think, and have it touching the image without the white. But wanted to play around with the colours.

How would I get the sign to overlap the border?
 
no, image size will change the overall image including boarder.

if your image is 600x600px and you add a canvas of 10px, the image size will go up to 610x610, 5px on al sides of the image. you could then reduce this image back to 600x600 useing IMAGE SIZE.
