Bored of gaming

Yup been out of gaming a lot lately cept for the old good racing games like GPL. But now the C&C series has taken my fancy, who cares its 2D.

well after reading this thread so far it just confirms the way i feel about pc gaming at the mo

no new games coming out that apeal to me.

The css server i was playin on has shut down

Funny thing is that it was only a couple of weeks ago i was going to throw 3k at a new system as this beast is just a bit dated now ie asus p4pe mobo

So maybe it is time to throw some money at a xbox 360 and have some fun

one question....does the xbox 360 come with the leads i will need to hook it up to my dell 2405FPW

Im the same after playing cod from the beginning pratically clan wise and playing cod 2 just gets boring now same old cod. BF2 was great after a while just got boring and nothing much else had took me fancy. Mostly now concentrate on 360 all i end up doing on pc is browsing and chatting on msn.

As i completed the new Lord of the rings and need for speed most wanted before that lately their hasnt been much i like come out.

I had a look at coming soon of pc games dosnt look exactly great but give it time im sure that will change.

I think the last game I played on my PC was COD2 since then I too have been pretty much bored with PC gaming. There doesn't seem to be anything grabbing my attention anymore. I'm mainly playing on my 360 now, Condemned, I seem to get drawn into it more. Perhaps that's because i'm playing on a bigger screen with all the lights and with surround sound? Just waiting for FN3 to arrive!

I'll be rebuilding mine when bloated vista comes along, but for now my dated [email protected] Barton / 6800GT rig will serve as a general pupose internet/work machine while the 360 does the rest. I play a lot more games now thanks to that console - and I hate consoles.

It does come with component leads, providing you get the premium version iirc. The stickies on the console forum have more info.

I do believe we all get to "that" age and gaimng seems to take 2nd place to a lot of other things real life wise... I has for me... 35yrs old... and the gaming passion I once had seems to dwindle... sob!

when i was 13 i played rvs all the time was the best in my clan and never tk'd or broke rules.... so can we stop the mind of a ** year old cliche

I'm 26. Gaming is no longer the domain of the spotty teenager, in fact IIRC the average age of PC gamers is now well into the 20s. Maybe in my 30s I'll view things differently, but I doubt it.

I may not have quite so much freetime to play games now, but I wouldn't say my passion has dwindled significantly. I still sit daydreaming about games at work sometimes, planning what I'm going to do next or whatever.

Oh, and personally I think the whole "community" thing is overplayed. Go back 10 years, and most of us didn't have internet connections. Was gaming fun? Damn right it was. You don't need a good community to enjoy gaming. FWIW the only game I play online (Quakeworld) has an extremely mature and diverse community, but that's not the reason I play it - it was still fun even before I went online.

I'm in the same boat, theres nothing out there that interests me game wise at the moment....... thats is until Oblivion arrives!!

Just the way the industry goes, you cant please everyone all of the time..... you could release multiple titles that were all pants or spend time on each one to ensure its pretty decent! know which one I prefer............. exact same thing happens with movies, I have not been to the cinema for ages simply because there has been nothing that tickled my fancy as it were!!

Dude ... i had exactly the same feeling for about the last 3 weeks .

I have loads of great games and i have just built this brand new rig that cost a packet ..and all i wanted to do was surf the net

I put it down to the crappy wether we are having , It brings me down so im sure it will happen to others too ..

Im happy to say that the feeling has passed now and i managed to bang in a 8 hour session of americas army just to prove it

Stick with it ...loads of great games to come this year

get a 360 and go online.you will have a lot of fun.
no clowning around,just put the game disc in and go straight on line in a few seconds.
my expensive pc is just usef for the internet now.
