Reason why i ask is because last night i d/l'd NBA Live and yes very pretty game but god almighty the framerate was pretty appalling especially on my 32" Lcd HDTV...just seems to stutter a lot:(.

looks spot on to me, havnt noticed any slow down or stuttering etc. gameplay is smooth and to my liking, but then im not one for noticing the difference fps make. 30fps or 60fps, all looks good to me :)
 
Cheers for the recommendation, just got two games through from screen select on the 30 day trial. The new fifa and NHL. Even if thats all I get in this month, thats £80 saved :D

They must hate me or something, I've been signed up for 2 months now and have had only 1 game.

Have patience mate, the concole is barely 6 months old so it'll take a while for the games catalogue to build up. It often takes a year or so for a console to really get going.

Have you checked out some of the E3 stuff that's available on the marketplace? Some awesome stuff coming out later this year.

Weird I got two straight away with 3 games and 7 dvds in my list. Fifa has gone back, before I snap the disc in rage and Ive kept NHL for a little longer trying to get the last unlock.

I have to say NHL is a very good fun sports game, Its perfect for playing on live too because it's end to end stuff which makes for good two player fun. And then theirs the violence and big hits. I find it more fun than either of the fifa games. I will likely buy the next version.
 
Did/do you have an original Xbox? If not, why not try looking back through the list of 360 compatible titles and picking something decent out? The Xbox has a ton of quality games.
