Boring practicality question for Octy VRS owners

Yes they are the 16 inch alloys, I had thought about changing them for the 17s but the ride is firm enough for my liking, I am told it would become firmer.

The early ones came with 16s until they changed to 17s - not sure why Skoda replaced quite a few under warranty but it seems to have escaped this one - i think the estate vrs is 16 as standard though

On Norwich's crappy roads I found the ride with 17's to be much smoother than I was expecting. Couldn't tell the difference to the L&K with the softer suspension and 16's which was a nice suprise.

This seat look rather shagged to anyone else for a car with just 23k on the clock

Or maybe it was owned by Billy Bunter :p

Those seats are noticeably worse than mine and I've got a tad more than 23k on the clock!

Although how old is it? If it's a 5 year old car and he's done 2 miles to work and back every day or something then the side bolster will have feasible had identical wear to somebody who has done 20 miles to work and back every day and now has much higher mileage.

Age > Mileage.

Well its a 52 plate but by far the worst I've seen in pics or in the flesh.

Whilst I've resurrected this saga again... Approved used from a main dealer with 12 month warrenty (not original manufacturers warrenty). If a car was 100 odd miles away could I take it to my local dealer in the event of a warrenty claim or would it have to go back to the place I bought it?

Crickey, my vRS is on 50k 53 plate, and I get in and out of the car a lot and the leather is still spotless. I think it might be the fact it's not been treated like it should, as with all leather it need rehydrating with special cleaner, also ad a lot of time in the sun and hey presto.

Yeah, looks like its dried out I guess.

Think I'll give my search a rest for a bit. Its become a full time obsession and is ******* me, my gf, everyone I work with and probably the majority of this forum right off :o

Have you been checking the Briskoda.net forums, quite a few come up for sale there, and they are usually well looked after, thats where I spied mine.

Yeah, nothing current on there in my price range. I've been checking it a cople of times a day atleast :o

TBH I'm tempted to take £7k and buy a brand new Kia Picanto or whatever else it will buy me. :o Thats how much I hate the process of buying a used car :(

If you'd have a slightly higher budget I'd be tempted to sell mine soon, as I'm off to America in six months, and sadly looks like selling the car is the only option as I don't plan on coming back in the near future.
