A mate has given me his pc to look at as its failing to boot and comes up with a message "missing system32 files" or very close to that. I've slaved the drive in another pc and it shows up in the bios and windows xp fine. When I try to explore/open/etc the drive windows says "drive needs to be formatted" etc. Also in the properties for this drive, its showing "0" bytes used, spare, and total space, and the circle is all blue (ie, full) I'm assuming that this drive totally knackered and needs replacing, but before I tell me mate, is there anything I can do?
